Sami stays?

He is struggling, he looks out of his depth, he has probably not got the support he deserves but he is not an idiot! By all means criticise his management style and his achievements or lack of but please leave the personal insults out of it.

I don't know him personally. I only see his actions as a football manager and they are the actions of an idiot.

His interviews also convince me he's not the sharpest tool in the box god knows how he got the gig.

Whilst I am willing to admit that the state of the squad is something that Hyppia can't be blamed for, that doesn't mean he isn't to blame for our woeful league position. Have we got a top 6 squad? No. Have we got a bottom 3 squad? Also, no.

Against Derby we started with three men in midfield, who between them had the same physical presence as Casper the Friendly Ghost whilst Ince, Holla and Toko all sat on the bench. Within 20 minutes we were 3-0 down and had to bring on Ince for damage limitation. Fast forward to the next game and the exact same midfield three start! Low and behold we couldn't get close to 'wall in Midfield which gave them the easiest 3 points they'll receive all season.

I'm sure he means well but he doesn't have a clue, it's that simple. Dropping Bennett so we can play Halford was quite frankly staggering. I'm not a huge fan of Bennett but he'd done nothing to deserve being dropped. Walton is brilliant for two games and is dropped to never be seen again. Caskey and Gardener do sod all every week but are untouchable. Loaning out all our strikers, then having to field a bench without an out-and-out forward. The list of simple mistakes he keeps making is staggering.

I'm resigned to L1 now. I've started trying to find positives for it already. JPT means a potential day at Wembley. Some decent away days to be had, less plastic fans & more reasonable ticket prices (away from home at least.). We were 180 minutes away from the Premier League 18 months ago, now I'm trying to see the positives in trips to Oldham, Walsall and Bradford. What's happened to our club?

can't be bothered to read the entire thread but I suspect no one from the club has spoken to Andy Naylor so he's made something up. A club source?? - as I've said before the "club source" can't be much of a servant to the club if he/she is leaking such dubious information.

I'll be going of Boxing Day to support my team and hopefully see them win.

There must be more to this than meets the eye. It's an absolute fact, as I was told and posted on here previously, backed up by a journalist from the Telegraph, that Hyppia offered his resignation 2 weeks ago. Everything is so for beyond belief now I am starting to think whether we will benefit towards FFP due to relegation!?! Surely this can't be a case of pride?

Sami is the man who picks the team. THe blame lies with him I'm afraid. If you want to go higher, it ultimately lies with Tony Bloom as he is the one who hired him, and the only one who can fire him.

He is the man who picks the team and also the manager who has the best training facilities in the country. What is he doing with them. We can't take free kicks , corners or pass the ball two yards. We were better when we trained at the university. Tony appears to have wasted 24 million.

To be quite honest I think a lot of people have already decided this. On Friday the 24K crowd was more like 16K and a lot of season ticket holders did not attend. It was the last straw for me. As soon as we saw the midfield picked, everyone around us said we would lose. At least we started well against Fulham, but against Millwall we were awful all game. Many people I have spoken to have said they will not go on Boxing day if Sami is still in charge as nothing will change. Expect 24k stated and 13k in the ground. If we go down then expect season tickets to half. What is the commercial sense in that. On Friday there was hardly any queing for drinks etc. The extra spend at the games must have dropped dramatically. People became season ticket holders on the basis that we would get to the premiership and they wanted to make sure they had seats. If we go down that carrot disappears for at least another three to four years if that happens people will only buy season tickets when we have a decent chance again. How much that will have cost the club over those few years will be difficult to call. having just built up the younger crowd base after 10 years in the wilderness they are risking throwing it all away in one season. Football fans are fickle they want to see the team win, but most of all play good football. They will not play top dollar in the championship if they don't get this. Go down to league one, will they reduce season ticket prices? I doubt it. If Sami stays it could be TB's biggest gamble ever.

Honestly I feel as though I should still go along support the team, however the final straw for me was the the team selection on Friday. Picking exactly the same midfield that gone torn apart by Derby in 20 minutes is the worst piece of management I've seen in a long time. Loan players in the squad completely disinterested... I spend a fair bit of money home and away attending 80%+ of games but when the manager can't pick our best 11 after being at the club for months I may as well save my time and money. Baffled that Bloom can't see this.

I have a season ticket in WSL and also pay for parking at the University as I travel from the game from either Basingstoke or Romsey in Hampshire (took over 2 1/2 hours on Friday travelling from Alresford).

The total cost of both of these season tickets is over £1000, and am really considering whether or not it's worth it - going all that way to see demoralised players and manager who's only bothered when he's losing. I've been a season ticket since Brighton moved to the Withdean and have to admit I enjoyed football more with Micky Adams in charge on a wet Tuesday night than at the Amex seeing us lose without very poor commitment from the staff.

I think it's time for a major shakeup. The defensive tactics are a mess - they seem to do zonal marking and most of the goals are conceded because no-one is committed to marking a specific player.

I do feel sorry for the players, because a manager or first team coach who's more tactically astute would be able to get the most out of players. Take Adrian Colunga or Baldock, if they played upfront "off" Darren Bent it should be effective, but we just have Bent up there on his own with no support, and all I think he sees is watching JFC pass it wide or back all the time. He's the modern day Matty Oakley!

Irrespective of whether we may think that we should or should not sack the manager, it is clear that a momentum is building that is almost unstoppable. The only thing to save it would be an amazing run of good form (like Newcastle, only better) and where is that going to come from?

The fans, the radio and tv pundits, the social media are all crying out for it. The players do appear dispirited, Hyppia looks and talks like a man who has had enough "Usually, I am not a quitter" he said.

There is a tide running that will not be stopped....What next? In the short term did not Mark Mcghee offer to help out for a few weeks pre season before we signed Mr H . would he still be available? ... I never liked the guy but a change, I think any change, is better than the current nosedive

I was pleased when he was appointed, worried when after he stated he needed a decent number two and did not get one. So looks like i can hold my hands up and say i was a supporter of the new manager.
