Crystal Palace manager Steve Kember has branded Sheffield United counterpart Neil Warnock 'a prat' after the Blades boss refused to shake his hand following Tuesday night's clash between the sides.
Warnock's men claimed a narrow 2-1 victory from an action-packed encounter at Selhurst Park that saw Palace relinquish their 100 percent start to the season.

However, Kember was incensed that his opposite number chose not to acknowledge him after the game, and also slammed United's tactics.

"He was giving it the old Big Time Charlie. He can't help being a prat. He didn't want to shake hands,” stormed Kember.

"They were under orders. They kept slowing the game down by throwing balls onto the pitch.

”It certainly leaves a bit of a bad taste, and Warnock wonders why people don't like him?"

However, Warnock insisted he had not intentionally snubbed the Eagles' chief, and was merely celebrating his side's success.

"It wasn't intentional. I was just punching the air after we had won.

”There is something wrong with you if you don't celebrate a win like that. But I would not do that to any manager."

Well If I was Warnock, I certainly wouldn't shake hands with the Crippled Alice manager :)

Indeed - you don't know where he's been!

Don't like Warnock though - noxious berk, and wasn't he in charge of the Notts County side that beat us so fortunately at Wembley in '91?

It was a long time ago but my memory of the play-off final is that we were rubbish (and injury hit) and they breezed past us.

Sad thing is we'd probably all love him if he was our manager. He has a pretty good record achieved with teams without money.

All his teams have always used "professionalism"(unsporting behaviour) to slow games down at critical times. The play off final was a perfect example. Whenever we started to knock the ball around a Notts County player would go down with a fictitious injury and break the play up. Must have happened at least 15 times during the game.

Deffo a tosser until he manages us ;)

Neil Warnock is a wanker of the highest order and i'd love to pinch him real hard on the back of the upper arm.

We hit the woodwork three times, crasher. Their first goal was from a corner which was very obviously a goal kick (Chivers said later that the ref had said to him that 'it was either a corner or a penalty' meaning he had absolutely no idea whether Chivers touched the ball or the man, or neither). Their third goal went in of their striker's chest from a clearing header, he knew absolutely nothing about it until it hit the net.

Breezed past us? Not a chance. Haven't liked them since, and have no time for Tommy Johnson to this day.

I won't argue HH - my memory aint' what it was. (and my memory's not what it was).

But weren't they already 2-0 up when Walker (I think) hit the post for the first time. They just seemed stronger, quicker, more confident.

Couldn't tell you crasher, to be honest. I was a stripling of just 20 at the time, and as far as I was concerned the 'legitimate' score was 1-1!

(Not that I'm not still bitter about that game 12 years later or anything!)
