There's a lot of talk about "the sort of football" managers play, but it's nonsense. Do fans really care about the sort of football you're playing, if you're picking up results? It only seems to matter when you're struggling and it's an easy thing to moan about. If Sam Allardyce goes there and plays the percentage football which got Bolton promoted and kept them there, and which has sustained Blackburn's Premier League place for the last couple of years, I doubt West Ham fans will care too much.
I think the majority of West Ham fans do care. Rightly or wrongly, some fans want their football a certain way - I put Spurs, Celtic, Newcastle and West Ham into this category.
