That's pretty unfair. We've been pretty woeful since mid September not the past few games. We have picked up points but against Forest and Cov we were pretty fortunate and then we went on another run which could have seen us heading towards relegation zone ... on top of that disciplinary. So some (me included) and can't speak for all were simply saying we need to be making changes ... just sticking with same old would likely produce more of the same.

Yesterday Gus's hand was forced to some extent ... it doesn't matter .. we saw some pretty radical change (and accepting a slice of good fortune too) we looked more dangerous, more hungry and more assured than I've seen in months. It more than proves we can play and not put in the sort of miserable performances we have of late, Burnley excepted. I'm actually less worried by results and more bothered by performance and effort. Get that right and with the right players results will come (what some on here call "learning" I guess)

Scummers fans on the other hand are way off ... they've blipped, nothing more (not yet anyway) and they are still top ... what I wouldn't give for that!

Then you could argue they we've blipped as well? It's all too similar in my eyes. A couple of unlucky defeats and people were slagging off Poyet and questioning his tactics, his subs and even his management. I think what I said is fair and regretably true.

We report victory of Team Nige to fans who no go to game. Lucky we have no electricity in Southampton yet, (we no need it as powered by my benevolence) so they believe all I say. Next week we in Champions League, we win, we win, we win.

I off now to split the atom, have a cup of tea and a digestive, then put atom back together again.

I win, I win, I win, you lucky that I even post here, bow down and worship Kim Jung Nige, I sent from the stars.

Fans they worship me, you read Western lies, you will be eaten by cockroaches.

That's typical Sky, wanking all over the teams at the top of the league. I actually thought the game was very even until the sending off, albeit that Sourhampton had the better of the chances.

Having said that, I really didn't think they looked like a top of the table side, and the way they surrendered the space after the sending-off gives even more weight to the fact that not even they believe they can win games without Lambert. The last time he was out of the side, they lost at Bristol City and Doncaster without scoring.

Looks like another 3 defeats without scoring coming up then!

To be fair, they had two cleared off the line, one outstanding save from Brez ( and the follow up) and a flap away from LaLana from a long distance shot that moved all over the place....we had one shot in the first half that I can remember from cooke to teh right of the post. So although we defended like trojans, they were on top for most of the half.

He is important to us yes, but dont forget Guly got injured within the same minute and a few minutes later came off. And why "fatty." The man is a lean athlete.

but don't forget....

well don't forget our injury/suspension list. We won with 3 development team players and a recalled loanee. I'm glad to be honest, as that's tomorrow's Albion, and tomorrow is looking like a good day!

ball crossed the line? different angles make that unsure. but player fouled a yard outside the penalty area and penalty still given? that happened

Finally, here's your "soft sending off"
