And for reasons best known to himself, Easy 10 seemed to be presiding over a masterclass for the under-fives at throwing missiles on the pitch. Eventually the stewards, with the aid of dogs and tear gas, managed to quell the mini-riot. Unseemly scenes.

Yeah Easy, you really should try to keep the kids undercontrol rather than encouraging such behaviour.

Well I thought Molango looked very useful. Yes, I know it was 'only' Crawley, where Marney stood out on loan last season(!).

But you can only judge them by what they are up against and he seemed to have plenty about him. Turn of pace, good touch and skills, showed some very neat turns, and crucially he has an eye for goal. He took both goals very well.

I doubt we'll sign more than one as we do need to strengthen elsewhere, particularly midfield. Perhaps Kerekes would get the nod for being a 'target man', but he didn't really impress me yesterday.

One thing is for sure, Mark certainly has a broad scouting network to uncover these fellas.

Molango stood out with his pace and skill, but I would also like to see MM pick up Kerekes, who looked a good target man to me... missed a sitter, but would expect him to to get a few with his head...

Thank you for a great report, London Irish... personally, I thought it was far better than we usually get from that tw@t, Naylor in the Ar$egas... :lolol:

Seeing as INCREDIGULL lets the wife do the irony, and despite the fact I have been to exactly zero pre-season games, I believe that these results must be seen as encouraging. Crawley are a far better side than when we beat them 3-1 a couple of years ago and since we seem to be playing our strongest side in parts, I would be really worried if we were losing these.

All in all, they're a decent workout for the lads. These non-league bloke would love to beat them, in fact they could coast through to Christmas on a league scalp, so we have done ok. The lack of true quality opposition does worry me a bit, would be good for the lads to chase shadows just for one game, steel them up a bit for the tougher games of next season where i will undoubtedly happen in parts.

My overall verdict though - encouragement mixed with caution.

Molango is worthy of a contract, not just because of the goals but his all round work rate and effort. Definitely the best and most lively of the 3 judging by the Crawley game. Celebrated his goals as if he really wanted to join the club and took them both very well.

Kerekes was a bit lazy for my liking. Didn't seem to keen to run for the lost causes and was lacking in pace anyway. I don't think we could afford to play Kerekes and Knight up front as neither would work too hard. Not sure I would keep him on.

Tankary was clearly the poorest of the 3. Send him back.

to be fair to him he had virgo trying to supply passes to him so didnt get a lot.
i really wish we would stop play defenders in midfield i know its only preseason but surely it makes sense to play players in correct postions to get match practise

Playing Virgo - and El Abd come to that - in midfield will make them better centre halves in time, better passers of the ball and less likely to hoof it into orbit. Fulham adopt the same policy - except they do it by loaning out people like Rehman to play in our midfield.
