Molango is worthy of a contract, not just because of the goals but his all round work rate and effort. Definitely the best and most lively of the 3 judging by the Crawley game. Celebrated his goals as if he really wanted to join the club and took them both very well.

Kerekes was a bit lazy for my liking. Didn't seem to keen to run for the lost causes and was lacking in pace anyway. I don't think we could afford to play Kerekes and Knight up front as neither would work too hard. Not sure I would keep him on.

Tankary was clearly the poorest of the 3. Send him back.

Glad you all enjoyed the updates - it will probably be a one off though - at least until the technology improves. My work PDA is an Orange M1000 which is like the O2 XDA in that it is a phone as well. It connects to the Internet using GPRS which is so slow it is untrue. Probably about 9.6k which is why I missed the first goal. Using the touchscreen is immensely annoying as well. I typed my first message 3 times before i managed to send it - the PDA nearly got trodden on as it lost 5 minutes of typing for the 3rd time.

I still stand by my comments about Mayo and Watson. Mayo was out of position far too often and Watto was a mixture of no tackles and psychotic tackles.

Listening to McGhee on SCR, it sounds like they will have to make a decision before Weymouth. In that case, I would go for the first half pairing. Molango looks very promosing and was up for it. One very nice turn on the wing, several chances and a couple of nice layoffs. Kerekes would be a useful option to have, especially if we revert to hoofing. On the ground, he was a mixed bag. Dodgy first touch but a very good snap shot.

Let's hope for 2 signings soon! :clap2:

We rip into non league teams and we're becoming promotion contenders ??
Has everyone forgotten our awful away form last season ??
A lot of the homes games stunk too.

Take off those 'rosey' glasses !!:glare:

I don't think anyone has rose tinted glasses on. The trialists can only play the teams they are put up against and 2 of them did well. Nobody said we would win the league.

Oxford 1 Chelsea 1 anyone?

And for reasons best known to himself, Easy 10 seemed to be presiding over a masterclass for the under-fives at throwing missiles on the pitch. Eventually the stewards, with the aid of dogs and tear gas, managed to quell the mini-riot. Unseemly scenes.

You've got to start them young nowadays Tom. I feel this gave them an excellent grounding for the battles to come at Leeds, Cardiff and Millwall this season. I was particularly pleased with the progress of young Easy 8 (in the black away shirt) who managed to launch several bottles of Panda Pop before being accosted by a steward.

I've been running courses through the summer, and in their first real match they did me proud today.

;)

I wouldn't write Tankary off yet. The Argus is adamant that he created Molango's goal at Woking. I would say McGhee has done well in giving himself these options.

Do we need 3 more strikers? Well, we certainly need 2 more plus a wide player. Even with this squad strengthening, a combination of merely one injury with a suspension will leave us down to the very inexperienced players in a vital few games that could be the difference between us staying in the Championship. McGhee likes options up front, so i wouldn't be suprised if he slants the budget here.

Will it be these three triallists? McGhee says if they are good enough, they will all be signed. But I think rather promisingly for us, he also says he has "number of other options to explore" so if I was a betting man, I would say it is unlikey all 3 will be signed simply because McGhee has other fish to fry.

The midfield experimenting is necessary as an insurance policy, rather than a voluntary step by McGhee I think. Our 3 best midfielders Chippy, Rodger and Reid are all unavailable, but given this handicap, the squad is doing OK.

We do need to sign a midfielder, but the priority is sorting out the forward line.

Tankary sounds as if he has the skill to play the creative/attacking midfield role we so desperately need...

Tankary isn't as good as Reid or Chippy

He was particularly accurate with a plastic pop bottle which nearly got Roberts ;)
