After another incident involving Savage lashing out at a player an another argument in the pub about whether he's a decent little player who puts himself about or a dirty, niggly, ankle biting wanker I would like to ask NSC what they think of the twat that is Robbie Savage. The MOTD panel seemed to think he hadn't seen Kezman and didn't mean to elbow him in the face but it was pretty clear to me that he knew exactly where Kezman was an deliberately targeted his face.

Do you like him as a player or does his continual dirty play do your nut?

I, for one, think he's the most disgraceful player I've ever seen the elbow on Kezman the other day was horrid.

Obviosulsy has some ability, but seems to feel the need to physically attack his opponents as well. About time they got rid of the two weeks wages cap on fines.

BTW He will be charged. From the BBC.....

The Football Association has charged Birmingham's Robbie Savage with violent conduct for allegedly elbowing Chelsea striker Mateja Kezman.
The Wales midfielder has until 1800BST on Tuesday to accept a punishment of an immediate three-game ban, or appeal.

If Savage denies the charge, his case will be heard by an FA disciplinary committee in London on Thursday.

The incident took place during Saturday's Premiership clash at St Andrews, which Chelsea won 1-0.

After the game, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho called on the Football Association to take action against Savage.

"I was really surprised when this blond player hit Kezman like he did," Mourinho said.

"But at the end of the day it is not my problem. I hope the disciplinary committee can look at the video and then decide."

Mourinho added: "I was really surprised because in English football I wasn't expecting such etiquette.

"If an elbow situation happens in my country, Portugal, or in Italy, Spain or South America, then that is our culture.

"But you are, and you deserve to be, kings of fair play. That is why many people in the world are in love with your football."

But Birmingham boss Steve Bruce understandably defended the Wales international, whose reputation has often preceded him.

I don't think Robbie has a case to answer because all he has done is swung his arm and caught Mateja

After looking at a tape of the incident, Bruce said: "There was nothing in it.

"If you set out to deliberately hurt someone then you look over your shoulder, or you look at where you are flailing your elbow.

"For me he did neither of those so I'm not worried at all. I don't think he has a case to answer because all he has done is swung his arm and caught him.

"We all know what type of player Sav is. He is committed and wholehearted and he can be a pest but the one thing he would not do is maliciously or deliberately elbow somebody.

"I know that for a fact and I think most people would agree with me on that."

Errrr, what game were you watching then, Steve. He quite clearly looked at Kezman before elbowing him. Tosser.

hes a good player on his day, but a dirty bastard needs to clean it up a bit, being aggressive and battling in midfield is great to have on your side, but when he blatantly elbows someone in the face (and regularly) thats just dangerous and unsporting, he should be banned for what he did yesterday. it was no accident

and he shouldnt be allowed back until hes had that f***ing awful hair do sorted out

Savage is a niggly little prick who needs a good slap. He's a decent enough player, but the antics that go with his game are childish in the extreme. He sets out to deliberately wind up opposition players and fans, and seems utterly determined to get someone to turn round and lamp him one.

I hope someone does a slide tackle on his FACE one day, then maybe he'll cut the crap and at least start trying to act like a f***ing professional.

Agreed, he is a dirty, spitty, niggling player who acts hard in the protected arena of a football field where a ref and half a dozen players immediately pull any assailants off him straight away. It indicated how much of a coward he was when he shit himself that time a fan ran onto the pitch to give a goalkeeper some stick. If you watch the replays he jumped back with his hands shielding him in a please don't hit me kind of way.

Worse than roy keane in my opinion

It looked like an everyday Shearer hand-off to me.

I quite like Savage. He doesn't give a toss what people think of him, and he's actually quite a good player. He works bloody hard on the pitch and doesn't have the kind of ego that much-noticed players like him usually have. Unlike Roy Keane he also comes across in interviews as an OK sort of bloke off the pitch.

He quite clearly looked over his left shoulder as Kezman was coming up behind hm to challenge , he waited for him to be close enough and quite obviously raised his elbow to Kezmans face.

It doesn't matter whether he looked over his shoulder or not. You KNOW when a player is behind you - Kezman made contact with the tousle-haired twat, so he instinctively swung a "f*** off" elbow and delibrately caught him in the face.

Savage is an arsehole.

I know, that's why it's so ridiculous that Steve Bruce has come out and stated that he hadn't seen him.

f***ing idiot.

Managers always defend their players to the hilt, even when its indefensible. Bruce must have KNOWN he was sounding like a bit of a bell-end, but didn't want to add fuel to the fire and risk losing Savage to a suspension - not that it'll make any difference now anyway.

I am ALL FOR this trial by TV and retrospective action being taken. I've been banging on about it for years, and this is definately one of the positives to have come out of Palios's shake-up at the FA.

Bruce is talking crap, it was about as blatant as you get looking at the replay, although in real time I thought Kezman had just run into him. Will never forget Savage getting Justin Edinburgh sent off in the ´99 Worthington Cup final for stroking his hair, going down like he´d been smacked with a claw hammer. For an alleged hard man, he´s one fuckload of a pussy
