Very much this. A trailblazer, trend setter and role model for grumpy old men world wide. Transformer is an absolute stone cold classic album packed with wonderful and varied songs.

I've actually had Perfect Day on a loop in my head ever since I woke up this morning, and I can't think why as I've not listened to the radio or anything. Coincidence or prophetic?

This is very, very upsetting. Lou Reed is one of the absolute greats, both in his career with Velvet Underground and solo too. I'm truly shocked - I only logged in to find out how the storm was going.

What happened, how did he die? This was not something that I had any inkling was on the cards - he must only have been 65 to 70.

Gutted.

So what? His legacy is one of countless albums that are still relevant today, and he has influenced a lot of fantastic bands too.
