My favourite player when I was a young lad, used to be Kit when I was playing football with my mates. R.I.P.

Wow! Remember seeing him score (against Villa in 1972) as if it were yesterday. Six years with the Albion, 1 goal in 3 throughout that period. Can't complain about that!
RIP another of my teenage heroes.

Played in the first Albion game my dad took me to when I was just 7 years old. RIP Kit.

I caught the Albion bug as a result of Kit Napier, Dave Turner, Norman Gall..... but mostly the late, great Kit. I am feeling low about this. The man is dead but the legend lives on, in our memories.

Oh so sad was my first hero at the Goldstone , great goal scorer for the Albion RIP

He was mine as well. RIP Kit. Great player.

Scored a couple straight from corners and once the opposition keeper - Alan Stephenson playing for Chesterfield I think - put the ball on the deck mistakenly thinking he had been fouled and would get the free kick only for Kit to smash it home into an empty net.

I just missed his Albion career, but was always aware that Kit was an Albion legend.

Going by those who watched him, he made people happy.

Very sad news and like others I have fond memories.

I remember him making his Albion debut and my Dad saying he was two steps ahead of the the others.

I'll never forget his first goal for the Albion, a sweet 25 yarder in a 5 - 2 win against Peterborough.
