What exactly has Terry done off the field to make him worse than a drugs cheat, who's been banned from driving four times, once for drink-driving, and various incidents of alleged homophobia?

I did say in the alst year he seems to have turned his life around a bit and I reckon he has. He's openly admitted he's made mistakes in his past and has tried to change his ways. It's in this that i see he is a good choice to make captain.

The trouble I have with Terry is that he seems to be a wanker on the pitch, but fairly decent off it. He always seems like a nice enough bloke in his interviews and always talks very fairly but honestly about things. On the pitch, though, he bombards the ref and is generally a bit of a dick.

im happy for Rio to be captain. He used to be a bell end and has matured into our best defender since playing with vidic at Utd he has been almost faultless. I'd like him to play with woodgate aswell.

I dont think terry is playing well enough and since he has been England captain he seems to of turned into a bell end. Hopefully Cappello is trying to cut out this prima donna like attitude that seems to of got to some of our players. (well chelsea players).

Hopefully he drops Ashley cole and goes for bridge tonight. id also like to see carrick and hargreaves with gerrard just in front if he plays 4-5-1
