Pissed off Gullzone is an understatement. Dobbie must be pulling his hair out with frustration. Blackpool tried so hard to sign him as they know he's a quality player and helped them gain promotion but he opted for us because of Gus and what does Gus do, leave him to rot on the bench. Bet Dobbie is starting to regret coming here.

Lets just see his team selection for Tuesday but I'm not confident he will change it. Managers don't like the crowds stating the bleedin obvious - think 'the king has got no clothes' syndrome!!

What a load of bollocks. He got no abuse from the crowd whatsoever. I guess you weren't there. Totally agree with BUTTERBALL, the guy needs a break, he is currently a liability.

I'm in the west upper. Groans when he was announced in the line up before the game, and he was getting stick at several points during the game, especially when he flashed that shot wide after the interplay with Cms, to the point where those trying to back the side and players were telling the boo boys to shut up.

Gus was clearly unhappy with certain players after the wolves match. It would appear that Dobbie was one of those that failed to impress him.

Dobbie never gets a crack of the wip, never a proper run out instead gets a few minutes here or there. Barnes gets 90 minutes how ever shit he's playing. If I was Dobbie then Id hand in a transfere request as he'll not get the game time to prove himself.

Dobbie won't play until Bridge is fit again as Painter is slightly more vunerable.

Look ill sum it up in a nutshell, does Ashley Barnes have a good goal ratio- yes, does Ashley Barnes work hard-yes, is Ashley Barnes a championship player- probably yes, are we ever gonna get promoted to the premiership with Ashley Barnes starting every game as one of our strikers- not a chance. Quite simply it depends on our true ambitions.

Goals per game ratio - agreed OK (but includes a few penalties that he has managed to score),
Goals per clear cut opportunities - not good enough. Too many squandered opportunities - we have better midfielders that can play in Gus' attacking midfield position - or go with a better striker?

Are you taking the piss? What don't you get about 20 goals in the League 1 Championship winning side and then being our top scorer last season? He is having a rough patch and I don't think Gus is doing him any favours by keeping him in the team when he is clearly low on confidence (not helped by some of the morons who call themselves fans abusing him every time he gets the ball). However, to say you don't get him suggests you think he was always rubbish, which despite the protests of a few is clearly not true.

Having said all this, sadly I do think he won't be good enough to be a regular in a promotion winning side, which is a shame as I think he is a really good player and, when on form, his importance to the team is massively under estimated.

20 in L1 when playing with a far better player who many teams double marked thus giving Barnes a lot of chances. When Murray was not in the team for whatever reason Barnes was pretty much ineffective. Given the fact how good our midfield was in L1 and the chances they created I wonder what a decent forward might have got along side Murray.

Those of us that remember Mike Robinson playing for us wouldn't have put him anywhere near the best in the then Division 1, but when Liverpool bought him, which was a really surprising move, he scored 22 for them the following season. It shows given the service even an average player will still score a few.

If Murray had stayed, as we all know, the partnership between CMS and him would have us sitting much higher than we are.

Can't say I remember him as a favourite, just as a good honest working player never really anything to set the World alight. However it was a shock Liverpool wanted him.
