In a pile of football shirts
Lazarus would have struggled to get extra time

Commentator going on about how the ball had crossed the line and it was clear to see (even after the replay), but I don't think it did. Not that it mattered on this occasion. But why over 5 mins of added time when they'd said 4? And why did Arsenal have 11 men on the field? Cheating refs.

reading did make a sub 3 minutes into added time but that should still only add 30 seconds i think.

I hate to admit it but that's the difference between Tottenham and Arsenal, Tottenham would never have come back like that, but with Arsenal you half expected it. Also, if Reading really blame that 'extra' minute then I have no sympathy. If you can't hold a 4 goal-lead at home, you don't deserve to be in the competition.

It was a MINIMUM of 4 minutes. Why can't people grasp that?

Yep, so 4.30.

Ok, so 4.30 + a little. It's not like you're supposed to keep playing until the big team score. Unless it's Man U or Arsenal.

The ref could have been adding up to 4:59 originally (unlikely, I know), so very nearly 5:30 mins counting for the sub.

Exactly. If the ref wants to add 4 mins 30 secs it gets announced as a minimum of 4 four minutes. If a sub is made it's now 5 mins. I guess if the ref feels that the player going off was being really slow he can add more than an extra 30 secs.

I wonder if the Arsenal forums have their very own "pornomagboy" who left at 4-0 and started a thread "just back from the reading game"

just back from the leicester game
