Absolutely perfectly pitched for that club.

Well done Mrs Chairman you know your crowd.

Verse 2
We rise to the challenge of our rivals
We’re fighting the butterflies tonight
It’s our moment, feel the expectations rising
We smell a victory today

Rap
How we love the thrill of a good game
How we like the smell of the fame
Doesn’t matter if we learn or win
Unstoppably we burn within
Getting ready to shed our sweat
Everybody get ready and set
Let’s celebrate tonight. Our blood is blue our wings are white.

chant
Blue and white, blue and white, blue and white
Give us blue and white, blue and white. Everybody come on.

Acapella
Like the kings of our land. they call us the Royals
Let us sing every man, we stand by the Royals
.

We rise to the challenge of our rivals
And the last known survivor stalks his pray in the night
And he's watching us all with the eye
Of the tiger

We’re fighting the butterflies tonight
Ripping off their tiny wings for no apparent reason
We smell the Whitley Whiff today

Rap (Performed by John Madejski)

How we love the thrill of taking part
How we like the smell of untreated sewage
Doesn’t matter if we make the play-offs
We'll still run on the pitch
Getting ready to put on our bobble hats
Everybody get ready and set
Let’s drink some Bovril tonight
Our hands are cold and our team is shite.

chant
Blue and white, blue and white, blue and white
Give us blue and white, blue and white. Everybody come on (my face).

Acapella
Fans from every club of our land. they call us the tinpot twats,
Let us sing every man, we are the tinpot twats

“The one who wrote the melody is a world class composer, his name is Henrik Algren, he’s a friend of my friend’s son."

What...THE Henrik Algren ?? Blimey.

I need to hear this.
I absolutely NEED to hear this.

Sasima was a bit worried after being told there might be some booing from the Leeds end. #readingfc

Only from the leeds fans?

This is just an anti-butterfly rant, prejudice at its worst. I'm sickened.

Why are they fighting butterflies tonight? What have butterflies ever done to them?
Now, caterpillars I could understand, they eat your cabbages, but butterflies have never done any harm to anyone.

Apart from actually creating those pesky caterpillars of course ?

I'm not prepared to pass judgement on this effort until I've heard what Perseus has to say on the matter.

"The song might be better if Reading play a 4-1-4-1 formation. I think I'd prefer a speedster like Will Buckley to sing it. They'd win 3-0 then and the song would go down better"

The lack of meltdown is worrying, they only seem mildly concerned

Can you imaging NSC if that song was made for The Albion!
It's gone from mild concern to acceptance and support. There's clearly quite a cultural divide between Reading and Brighton, as like you say, NSC would be in melt down.

It's just so cringeworthy, but the inclusion of a rap (A RAP) in this is just too much for me to handle right now.

What a time to test it out against Leeds as well. :lolol:
