I wonder if there is any truth in the claim by the Telegraph panellist that in the Bank of England's history since 1600 our national debt has gone from £0- 800 billion. And that during George Osbornes 5yr austerity term it will rise to £1600 billion.
If true (I've heard this before despite lack of straightforward data from ANYONE) then it means we can kiss goodbye to the NHS, for starters.
