Yeah, she comes across as a really nice person and everything, but some of her political views are just plain wrong. Did you see her when she was leaving This Week? Andrew Neil absolutely roasted her, she actually looked like she was going to cry at one point. Way out of her depth.

Shameless LYING from Boris. UK Uncut was a PEACEFUL demonstration causing 'minimal damage' not 'tens of thousands', and involved in ZERO violence at Fortnum and Mason. Dianne seems pretty CLUELESS on it too.

Thanks for the link, I had not heard about this. Cant say I am surprised, but its good to see that evidence is available and they can be (or should be) held to account. This makes me so angry:
'You've lied to us. You said we could leave and now you're arresting everyone.' She replied: 'Yes, you're free to leave – to the police station."
This is why people do not trust the police, they betray those whom they are supposed to serve & protect.
Its a modern day slavery I tell ya.

The most depressing thing is not only are the media spreading these lies but the politicians are as well.
So many people seem completely misinformed to the actual FACTS. And if the media and politicians do not expose the facts, then the public do not become aware of them and believe the lies.138 people arrested via an extremely wide and highly illberal law under the Criminal Justice Act for peacefully protesting. I've never seen this before. Makes me think Andrew Neill comes accross as a bit of a dick, questioning a few quid on taxis and putting words in Diane Abbott's mouth about West Indian mothers, at no point did she say they were the best. I really enjoyed the relationship between all 3 on this show but it just shows how someone who comes across as perfectly normal when out of the spotlight who then goes into frontline politics gets a completely different tone of questioning, with virtually all reason removed giving her no real chance to express opinion without it being twisted and turned against her, and Diane in turn having to answer every question whilst referencing Labour acheivments.

I don't like Abbott. I think she is a hypocrite. Doesn't practice what she preaches. That grilling by Neil sums it up nicely.

No she is simply not able to answer for her own words. How many times does she say "I've got nothing more to say" hoping that Andrew would politely refrain from asking his question. This is the hallmark of today's politicians, evasion and spin. If I cannot satisfy your question with an honest answer, I will simply avoid answering your question. We can now add Diane Abbott to what is a very long list.
But what was she being asked about? Her personal expenses which she is entitled to and her children's eductation. Admiteddly, she could have answered the questions better but it seems the whole relationship between her and Neill had changed and there was no more laughing and joking as now she has a more important job. Neill could have asked the question about her children's education at any time over the last 6 years but didn't until she got a cabinet job and left the show.
