Hi

Can I please bring to the attention, of those who might have missed it, that in his quest to broaden the scope of NSC, bozza has added and NSC Blog.

To access it, click on the button at the top of your screen, as per the helpful image below!

Its early days, but the contributors have already posted a good few informative / interesting pieces. Please take a few minutes to have a look. You may be surprised with the quality of some of the writing.

One tiny request - if you do enjoy a piece (or not) do please leave a comment, at the end, or indeed on this thread if you prefer. A little feedback is always appreciated.

Some random examples of the fare on offer:

'Who'd be a manager'
But what of these selection issues? It is generally accepted that it’s a positive for a manager to have plenty of good players vying for spaces in his side, and clearly fans would rather that Craig Mackail-Smith, Will Hoskins and Ashley Barnes were competing for positions on the team-sheet than were Jake Robinson, Joe Gatting and Nathan Elder...

'Faded Glories'
To my 13 year old eyes, Frank Worthington appeared to stroll casually around the Goldstone pitch, showing the occasional flash of brilliance, but contributing little of note.

My recollection is of a succession of ‘clever’ flicks, into spaces noticeably absent of fellow Albion players. Those who knew better, explained to me that this was because Frank was “too good” or “two steps ahead of the rest”, although truth be told, it did seem to my nascent football brain, that kicking the ball to nobody, wasn’t really very ‘good’ at all. The Albion have had plenty of players since, who have done much the same, without the same generous suggestion ever being afforded them...

'Charge of the Slade brigade'
The sight of Slade patrolling the touchline, home and away, like an army sergeant, barking orders at the players, instilled a confidence amongst players and fans alike that carried the team over the line in the race to survive. He seemed to represent the very definition of the phrase ‘bitter determination’...

I think maybe the blog isn't advertised well enough? I've been aware of it for some time but just seem to forget it is there as it becomes lost in the blue link bar.

I agree completely. That is precisely the reason for starting this thread.

Hi,

I've found a really good Albion season preview link on the Internet today that I'd like to share but it won't allow me to post the link as I haven't got 25 post.

If anyone would like to read it then PM me and I'll send them the link. Also if they could then post it on the main forum then that'd be appreciated.

Cheers.

Falmer
God gives all men earth to love,
But, since man's heart is small,
Ordains for each one spot shall prove
Beloved over all
Each to his choice, and I rejoice
The lot has fallen to me
In a fairground , in a fairground
Yea Sussex by the sea.

And if you can wait and not be tired of waiting....

To the Brighton board and with words by Mr Kipling.

Still Somewhere in Sussex!
Thought I'd get in on the Brighton Blogs act!

Have just created a new one here - http://www.thebrightonaces.blog.com

It's still work in progress, as I've only just written the first couple of posts in the last few days.

Any feedback or submissions greatly received.

(Yes, Bozza I will put up a link on mine for Northstand Chat and it's blog  )
