Just a quick head up, for this.
I'm surprised it's not already been mentioned.

crossing the red seaReally looking forward to this. And maybe even more so to The Adverts programme that's on at 10:50. Most underrated punk band of the time. IMHO, like.

last time i was in london for a gig was at an old converted cinema in north london, went up on coach full of glue sniffers to see test tube babies supporting splodgenouseabounds and a skinhead geezer called Barney rubble,................MAD !!!!!!!!!!!!! RUNNING BATTLES OUTSIDE as rival skins clashed, GLAD TO GET BACK ON THE COACH ONLY A YOUNG LAD AT THE TIME .Wonder if the Nashville Rooms is still there?
Seem to recall the skins in Croydon at the time were particularly evil. Including one nasty piece of work who's party piece was to into gigs on crutches, then bring them crashing down on the heads of punks who were only there to have a good time. Mind you, had some grand times at the Greyhound there, where the gigs were held upstairs, and the spongy floor was always on the brink of giving way. NO POGOING! notices everywhere!![]()
bollox,
