Just a quick head up, for this.
I'm surprised it's not already been mentioned.

Wonder if the Nashville Rooms is still there?
last time i was in london for a gig was at an old converted cinema in north london, went up on coach full of glue sniffers to see test tube babies supporting splodgenouseabounds and a skinhead geezer called Barney rubble,................MAD !!!!!!!!!!!!! RUNNING BATTLES OUTSIDE as rival skins clashed, GLAD TO GET BACK ON THE COACH ONLY A YOUNG LAD AT THE TIME .

Seem to recall the skins in Croydon at the time were particularly evil. Including one nasty piece of work who's party piece was to into gigs on crutches, then bring them crashing down on the heads of punks who were only there to have a good time. Mind you, had some grand times at the Greyhound there, where the gigs were held upstairs, and the spongy floor was always on the brink of giving way. NO POGOING! notices everywhere!

Is it wrong to have just put the kettle on.

Basically I shall be watching Punk Britannia with a nice cup of tea, and a few Hob-nobs.

The Croydon/Mitcham skins & punks came down in a coach when Sham played at the New Regent at the bottom of West Street. The Bosun "soul boys" caught up with them outside and saw them on their way!

Cracking TV Smith documentary just been on.

Switched Punk Britannia off now as it looks like turning back into Pub Pock Night again, with wall to wall Dr Feelgood. Wake me up for episode 2.

Great show. I wonder how far it go.Will it just stay with the original movement or will it move on to the second wave with the Subs , GBH , Exploited and maybe even a bit of Oi.
Great to see Eddie and the Hot Rods getting the credit they deserve.

I have not seen it yet, is the great Johnny Moped on it? as I always think they were the real crossover from pub to punk.
