NSC's Most Stalked
There's some fascinating interviews on Sky Sports News about Premiership managers and youth academies.
The main jist is everyone thinking they are not working, and thinking of scrapping them.
Why do they say that, when it is them that are forcing youth teamers out of first teams in the first place. It is them that wont play them as they have no experience, so they buy a cheap foreign alternative.
Premiership managers like ferguson are saying that academies dont provide enough quality and they are flawed. So why doesnt he do something about it?
Howard Wilkinson is saying this was always going to happen, and he can see england not making a world cup in about 15 years time.
The only premiership team really making use of youth academies is Arsenal, but even there if you are English you seem to lose out. I.e. Bentley, Stokes, all the rest of the youth team are jonny foreigners.
Really annoys me that premiership managers cant see it is them that are causing the problem. When lower league teams have to survive on it and sell the best players to play bit part roles in "bigger" clubs
