Bowyer, Larsson, Roberts, Elmander, Murphy, Upson, Dyer? HA. They're all easily on 40 or 50k a week+. Dyer has been on 60k for the last 3 years and played about 4 games. Almost everyone on that list will get picked up by Fulham/Wigan/West Brom/Blackburn etc, whoever doesn't go down this year. Kightly was tracked by Liverpool not too long ago, Elmander's scored about 15 in the Prem this year - there isn't a cock's chance in Jordan's bedroom of us getting even close to signing players like that. We'll snap up leading L1 players, unwanted but experienced Championship players, unknown foreigners from the continent and MAYBE Wood back on loan/LuaLua on a free. But f*** all chance of England international Matt Upson.

Yes some of these players are on 40K most will probably be closer to 20K and unlikely to be offered that sort of money again. Jason Roberts for example is no spring chichen and unlikely to get a premiership start - so he may be tempted to have a couple of years in the championship.

Tamir Cohen, Simon Cox, Jordon Mutch, Giles Barnes and Matt Gilks would all be good and fairly realistic targets!

Simon Cox ahead of Chris Wood in the Baggies attack?

West Bromwich Albion | Team | Profiles | Simon Cox

But he has a two years option on his contract. A reserve this season with five starts and eleven as substutute (including on the bench against Chelsea today) in the Premier.

I think the lad Giggs could fit into our system.

wages, wages, wages. thats what will determine who we can take on, i think the budget and wage structure is more Blackpool than Leeds. theres probably only a handfull of players that we could afford, we'll be shopping more in the Championship reject aisle methinks.

though Gudjohnsen is one big name i'd fancy we have a slim chance for, if Gus can talk an old team mate to come in as key player on a long contract (he's only 32)at a cut price.
