For those wondering how The Albion Chels did, they lost 1-0 at home to Villa and there was a red card for their Malo Gusto
Didn't Jackson pick up his fifth yellow card of the season for a one match suspension already.

Not only that, it felt like they spent the entire summer trying to get rid of him.
I don't remember him ever being linked to Palace, which seemed off to me. Why wouldn't they be interested in having him back? Was that a sign of him trying to get a contract upgrade, or were chelsea trying to draw interest (would have though the paalce fans would have urged parish to try for Gallagher if he was available).

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino, speaking to BBC Sport:

"The team has given everything, we need to keep working. To play with 10 men is always difficult but the team worked hard."
"We need to change the situation, the only way I know we can change the situation is by working really hard."
"We are confident in the way we perform. The only thing we are missing is scoring. If we keep working hard we will change."

Not scoring. Keep working hard.
Does that remind you of any former Chelsea manager's spiel shortly before his departure?

This is absolute scenes all on its own. He's played in six games, and picked up five bookings (and a one match ban). Four of the yellows were for dissent and today's was for blocking a quick free kick. Five entirely unnecessary yellow cards is spectacular.

Caicedo was subbed today and rated 3.45 out of 10 on the BBC website :lolol: Still, at least he can still easily shop at Harrods.

Beheaders five up at Sheffield United now. Nice finish from Rat Boy for the fifth.

You could see the beheaders scoring double figures here, so poor are the Blades.

Looks like Newcastle are doing a shooting practise drill against the Blades.
