I just don't understand how they can get away with it. He pleaded guilty before our game and everyone knew that the ban would take him past the end of the season, so they should have just started the ban then - or agreed to start any ban after the season - not a couple of days before they play a crucial game against Spurs.

What if they qualify for Europe anyway, having allowed him to play for the last couple of months? They should have banned him earlier, or concluded their investigation after the season. Either of those would have been ok, but to allow him to play most and just miss the last 2 is the only way they could get it wrong.
