Up to 11th. For all the flak Hodgson gets, he squeezes all the ability out of a very average side.

It's a crazy season where I don't think any club deserves to win the title. Award it to plucky little Bournemouth as a kind gesture for their services to football. To bounce back from heartache is a very moving story.

Who can still get a point from Spurs. I agree we do relatively well against them, in fact we are in front in the head to heads but they seem as a club more resilient to the pressure of a Premier league season. Hopefully and probably that will change but ATM they are a more successful Premier league side.

If Whineyfred goes they have big problems IMO. Here's hoping....

The same as Stains. NSC’ers disparage both teams/squads every season, their players are dross (we wouldn’t want them, their CB’s are shit), yet they always end up higher in the table. Those awful Stains players .... 7 wins and 23 points already, compared to our 2 and 10.
We do fall in the deluded ' through Albion ( or insert the team you follow) tinted spectacles. We are in a world class division .....we are doing quite well but it always going to be 3 steps forward 2 backwards and the teams we compete with, apart of course the big six, in the same place as we are.....its just a few have their day in the sun.....Leicester, Sanits, Palace ect, but all will find their level which is not dominant top half of the league.

Interesting how many clubs are using the ends to house supporters. I know Fulham may not have too much of a choice but I wonder if it helps atmosphere

Underrated ref is Marriner. No accident he gets a lot of our Palace games as he is very level headed.

VAR checking something when no players are even asking for it, **** off.

Totally agree it wasn’t a penalty, but pens have been given for far less. If that was on Salah up the other end it would have been given. VAR goes searching for something even when nobody appeals, it’s bollocks.

Given a lot of the penalties given, I'm more than a little surprised that wasn't given, too. Looks to me like he takes out the Fulham player's standing leg, and that if he does get any of the ball, it's only by going through the player. Though it felt like the VAR was desperately trying to find evidence he got some of the ball, and then when it was clear there was no question of offside, then seemed to want to look the challenge earlier in the build up.

EDIT: What's going on with VAR today? There was a little push in the build up that was absolutely not a foul, but was enough of a contact for them to protect the big boys.

I think that was a really good example of why VAR is such a waste of time.
It wasn't in real time, and you could argue either way on the replays. But once it goes VAR it has to be a penalty really, because strictly speaking Fabinho has caught the man and not the ball. The point is it shouldn't be going to VAR. It has to be ONLY when it's a real shocker. Which rarely happens. They can't keep looking at every single tackle, every single incident.

1-0 Fulham, deserved.
