Mine is the Holden Efijy

The Efijy
Back in 2005 Holden (the Australian end of GM) designed a concept car based on the 1953 Holden FJ.

Its name was the Holden Efijy and for me it is one of the most beautiful cars ever built. If Angelina Jolie had wheels she would be a Holden Efijy.

With a body at 5.2-metre body and painted in 'Soprano Purple' the Efijy was hardly the shy and retiring type. The Holden Design Chief, Richard Ferlazzo said, "Invariably, people smile when they see it for the first time. EFIJY is our accolade to the talented designers who cut loose with some fantastically flamboyant styling in the post-war 1940s and 1950s."

Mechanically the car was based on the US Corvette with 6.0-litre supercharged V8 under the hood and a four-speed automatic gearbox.

The Holden Efijy wasn't just built for show. Under the hood the engine churned out 645 bhp at 6,400 rpm so even pulling its vast body it was never going to be slow. The LSD got the power down and a fibre-glass body kept the weight in check while the height adjustable air suspension allowed some degree of passenger comfort. Should you deign to let one dirty the seats in this beauty.

The wheels were billet aluminium, 20 x 9 at the front and 22 x 10 at the rear.

Unfortunately this baby was never intended for production, just a show special so the Holden Efijy was never given a showroom price.

My money no object dream car is the Aston Martin Bulldog.

The interior uses digital instrumentation and the rear view is delivered via a television monitor mounted on the center console (a later addition). The Bulldog was powered by a 5.3L twin-turbo V8 delivering 700 bhp (522 kW – other source claims 600 bhp/477 kW) maximum power and 69 kg/mm (500 ft・lb/677 Nm) maximum torque. The first test drive of the Bulldog came in late 1979 and was a great success. The Bulldog achieved a verified top speed of 191 mph (307 km/h), but the theoretical top speed is estimated at 237 mph (381 km/h).

Probably not the prettiest car in the world, but I've wanted it since I first saw it in a magazine.

Farrari 458 Italia.

This baby for sure! Spent last weekend in the New Forest and took the usual jaunt around the Ferrari dealer in Lyndhurst. Its always kind of weird that this typical small English town tucked away in the forest is home to an amazing Ferrari/Maserati dealership which is almost a recognised tourist attraction.

Amongst a lot of Ferrari Califirornias they had parked outside a gorgeous 458 Italia Spyder in red at the very reasonable price of £179K!

this one please

aston-martin-db6-03.jpg

I did an MOT on a metallic maroon one of these once, and noticed a deep scratch all along one side, at a uniform height...

I asked the owner if it had been 'keyed', and he said it hadn't, but his young son had scaped the end of his bike handlebar all down the side of it, in the tight confines of their garage

Child-murder was apparently only just avoided

For tracks the Koenigsegg Agera R, which is theoretically the fastest production car in the world, although unverified at the moment. Engineers reckon it can hit 272mph, but it needs special tires.

For day to day maybe the Jaguar XJ

But then again I can't drive.
