Warm and cosy at my desk. 24.1c.
That's not warm and cosy, that's tropical.

I'd be nudee if I had to work in those temperatures.

I just wish I could afford a car with a temperature display inside the car! Any way just ran Jnr. Skipper into Southampton to school ( his Mum was at the Rolling Stones last night ) and it was a bit parky at 07.30. Lots of scaping off frost before we could set off.
My weather center recorded -5.

You guys with your fancy cars, mine doesn't even have a clock (that works). I can tell how cold it is from how much ice is on the inside of the windscreen.

The car was CAKED in frost this morning, and I couldn't be bothered with the scraper. So I poured lukewarm water all over the windscreen from the kettle and PRESTO - instant frost banishment. Most pleasing.

(I am easily pleased)

now that's a proper car. None of my windows open and I've not been able to lock the doors for 2.5 years and it's never been touched.

Ditto. Fancy temperature monitors indeed. I'd just like to know what time it is so I can measure how long I've been sat in the latest painful tailback along Lewes Road.

Mind you I don't tend to have this windscreen ice problem. I think I'm near enough to the sea that the salty air prevents ice forming. Or something

Mine was at -3 when I started it this morning but moved up to a balmy -1 after 20 minutes or so.

Yeah that's the way forward. My car provides me with a new "feature" every few months, so far I have:

- A leak in a seal somewhere (no idea where) that lets moisture in meaning I have to wipe the insides of the windows
- A clock that lights up but displays nothing
- Rear windscreen washer that makes a noise but provides no washer fluid
- 4 settings on the heater: 1 - does nothing, 2 - does nothing, 3 - a little bit of air, 4 - full blast
- A fog light button that works but the light that tells you if it's on doesn't work so it's pot luck
- If you open the sunroof the seal comes off (although this doesn't seem to be where the leak is)
- Windscreen wipers that occasionally decide to stop half way down the window instead of going all the way down when you turn them off

I'm looking forward to finding the next one.

I'm not sure my dad could cope if he had a car without a temperature display, he seems to relish updating me on the temperature outside whenever I am in the car with him.
