No surprise with Redknapp and storrie being there in the past don't they always leave a trail of destruction behind them beware spurs!

So if Palarse and Pompey went we could clean up and fill Falmer twice over.

I wonder if these billionaires are falling out of love with the premiership, or if they don't have names like Chelsea, Arsenal, Man Utd or Manchester City available to buy they are not interested.

Why would someone promise millions for Portsmouth and then not bother? Do you think the name of the club has something to do with it.

I don't feel sorry whatsoever, and if a foreign investor came to the Albion offering Millions I hope we would all say No.

Nearly every single club that has been taken over by foreign investors has had trouble in one form or another. The only one that comes to mind that have not had any issues are Chelsea, because he has put his money where his mouth is and stuck to it.

So far.

As I understand it, the money is all in the forms of loans which could be called in at any time, if he got bored with his plaything.

At least TBloom is local and loves the club. These foreign investors just buy these clubs to play with and when they get bored they throw it away and buy a new toy. We must ensure the Albion never gets in to this situation.

But therein lies the problem. Supposedly Abramovitch loves Chelsea, however when he walks away someone will have to take on the loans. It is exactly the same with Tony Bloom

Whether we like it or not, he has invested personally money into the club to build the stadium and fund the club ( Yes there are other directors and shareholders who have put in money, but proportionally much less) If he at sometime in the future decides to walk away, which no-one knows when, he will expect to sell the stadium ( I am 100% sure he is not doing this out of some charitee goodwill) at that time, we will have to find a very rich buyer.

At the mean time, its up to us to sit back and enjoy the ride for as long its going to last!!!

But the best bit is that we won't have to find another very rich owner, he will. The team and club will exist in one form or another for a very long time. Any prospective buyer will always want a team to play in that stadium rather than it stand empty.

I thought Bloom didn't loan the Albion anything - it will all be transferred to shares in 2023. That's different to the Chelsea situation.

In terms of examples of successful foreign takeovers, Man Utd haven't done too badly since the Glaziers took over

I would argue that Aston Villa has been excellently run by a billionnaire chairman.

TB isn't a creditor though if the club were to come into trouble the money it owes would not include the money TB has put into the club. The problem of selling it would be his problem alone as the only way he could get the money back is to sell too a rich investor. If TB ever had money trouble the club would still run as it does not owe him money as such. The likelyhood is i would imagine that if he were ever to sell he may keep a majority of the shares and float the rest on the stock markets. The average share price were we to be in the championship or higher would be worth more than we bought it for. The club or at least the way i see it is one of the most financially secure in the football world not just in our league. And that is all thanks to TB.

Bloom did loan the Albion money, but as you say, it is convertible to shares when the terms expire. So theoretically the club could pay back the money he has lent us (say if we were in the Premiership). However, much more likely is that he won't take a penny out of the club, and will simply take the share options.

It's a result all round with Pompey and Palace up shit street. Hopefully THFC can go the same way (sorry Kinky but they are a club supported by wankers) and it's looking good with the current lack of available funds for transfers.
