Trying to keep on topic, I see my lttle boy's name, Noah, has LEAPT 13 places up the chart.

I feel entitled to call myself a trendsetter.

Names have always related to prominent people at the time.
Lots of Alberts, Victorias and Edwards resulted from those times and post war ( 1945 ) you saw a lot of Philip, Elizabeth and Margaret appear. The first wave Caribbean immigrants largely went for iconic names. Winston ( Churchill ) and Everton (Weekes ) being prime examples. As more American influence reached our shores, you started to see Elvis, Larry, Wayne, Tex, Lee, Cliff, Kevin, Bradley etc
More recently...Kylie, Demi, Cher and more Americanisation such as Billy-Jo and Carrie-Ann.
Now there seems to be a mix between a return to the old classics...Jack, Will, George, Alex, etc or an effort to create something different all the time e.g Kaylees, Kylies, Kayleighs,Kay-Lees.

It was, but as usual the racists on here have spotted an opportunity and hijacked it.

To keep on topic, I think my first choice if I had a son would be Alex.

Nothing to do with the NSC clique hijacking it to regale us with their tedious PC bolleaux?!

Actually Mohammed's name isn't about race as there are white muslims called Mohammed, just as there are anglophobes and anti-white racists in the asian communities called Mohammed.

I really dispise that paper. Not outwardly Islamaphobic, but written in a way to appeal to BNP members and sympathisers, and idiots.

f***ing despise it.

i also despise it, but don't think it's unreasonable to either lump variant spellings together, nor highlight the fact that a cultural change is going on.

i'm afraid i'm with merkel. multi kulti doesn't work.

And thats where we differ

Its not the lumping together teh same name, its the way its written like its some kind of affront to all that is british. Does my nut!

Anyway.

My kids name shall consist of the middle name Richard-Zamora, probably Dale Richard-Zamora.

I also want Anthony in if I have a second child, possibly Anthony Gary Michel.

I agree to a point. I have no problem with mixing culture, it IS natual evolution. But make it natulal not forced like it has been.

Also its takes years and years and years, 100's of years for cultures to merge. The problem since the end of the war is that its been millions and millions in 60 years. Its far too quike. If it was that easy, why has Europe got so many different cultures? In 2000's years we have not merged. Look at India, even longer, 5000 years, China too.

Notwithstanding it is forced and unregulated.

Idiotic comments like yours make me so angry.

I think there have been many statements of FACT which desperately pedantic and overly emotional liberals dismiss as racist. That is exactly what you did and I think you should apologise for your frankly libellous insinuation that anybody who gives an opinion different to yours is 'racist'. Shame on you.
