Ryan 6 Nothing to do could have got his flask out for tea, if it was allowed
Webster 5 Not long enough to impress
Dunk 8.5 MOM very good performance.
Burn 5 the weak link in the back line.
Montoya 7 One of his better performances
Propper 8 Very good performance and just edged out by Dunk for MOM for me.
Stephens 6 Kept things ticking over but not one of his best performances.
Gross 6 Some nive touches but not enough
Alzate 7.5 Good moments but I thinbk people over rate him.
Maupay 6 Needs too many chances to get a goal and missed a few that he should have done better with.
Connolly 7 Plenty of running and caused their defence problems.
Subs
Trossard 7.5 A diamond who makes things happen
Duffy 7 Showed great defensive ability and restored our ball winning headers.
Schellotto n/a

I think it is a fair assessment of both as in Trossards case we look so much better when comes on. In Alzates case he played well but due to inexperience tends to hang on to the ball too long and his shooting is poor.. He could have had at least 1 goal today if his shooting was better.

On MOTD just then, Alzate did everything right with a chance he made for himself, but Krul pulled out a quality save with his leg.

As noted above, Fantasy Premier League had Montoya as top player, shading out Trossard and a way above Dunk then the rest.

Sofascore (based on stats) has Trossard top with Montoya second, Dunk third.

Ryan 6 - Not much to do, but coped with everything well
Montoya 6.5 - Decent performance overall
Webster 6 - Did ok - hope the injury isn't too bad
Dunk 8 MOTM - Excellent all game long.. tackles and marking were excellent, snuffed out any threat.
Burn 6 - ok
Gross 6 - a couple of nice touches , but overall below his normal levels
Stephens 6 - Decent without excelling, should have done better with his shot
Propper 7 - Much better performance particularly in the second half
Alzate 7 - The boy has some talent., too many touches in the box maybe, but he is adding a lot to the team overall.
Maupay 6 - a couple of poor shots/final balls. He's decent, but wish he was a little sharper.
Connolly 6.5 making lots of good runs, but nothing really coming his way today.

Duffy 7 - really solid defensively and the goal was class
Trossard 8 - won the game - but I can't give MOTM for 30 minutes
Schelletto 6 - would have preferred March to come on - but understand he needs the minutes more

Lancing
Ryan 6 had to keep his concentration no real saves to make but constantly used as a sweeper playing across the back line inviting a mistake at some point especially after Webster went off
Montoya 6 first half all our attacks came down his side I do wish he had a bit more confidence to fizz low balls in as our front two might benifit more than the many high balls however what a cross for the first goal
Webster 5 hope his injury is not to bad as going off could have upset the balance at the back
Dunk 8 Captain fantastic don't get why he's not in the England squad
Burn 6 a quiet game
Gross 6 midfield needed a spark sadly he was unable to to provide it
Stephens 6 worked hard with little reward a few sloppy tackles and passes not his best game
Propper 8 Silky performance
Alzate 7 very influential second half but for a great save would have scored first half
Maupay 7 could or even should have scored but he really works hard to get in good positions a real team player
Connolly 7 first half looked dangerous every time he got the ball which was not as oftern as it should have been Montya please note faded second half I hope we are careful we don't over run this very talented young man I agree with Warren we are a striker short
Duffy 8 always difficult for a player who's not had much game time to have to come on Pukki looked happy and was right on Duffys shoulder when he first came on in the hope of any slip small mistake Duffy needed to settle quickly on a surface that was difficult he managed it and was rewarded with a goal
Trossard 8.5 very good goal changed the shape of the game
Schelotto 7 a cameo appearance one nice run into the box went for goal imagine that had gone in nice to see him back from a long term injury

Ultimatley we needed that win and a clean sheet brings our goal difference to 0 which in itself is an achievement and is an indication of how well we are doing

Ryan 7
Montoya 7 solid against their best attacker and offered good forward movement. A good assist.
Dunk 9 brilliant
Webster 7 (would’ve been higher had he lasted the whole game as he was our best player up to that point)
Burn 7 a good outlet and defended well
Gross 5 one of his poorer games. This shoehorning of him into the team makes no sense when we have a natural wide man on the bench
Propper 8.5 our best midfielder, and that’s going some as all but Gross played well. Kept driving us forward and defended well
Stephens 8 solid and kept the ball ticking over. Interesting that he was picked as the central player this week instead of Alzate.
Alzate 8 really good on the ball, but needs to be more decisive and dally less when in good positions
Connolly 8 really good at holding the ball, pressing and his movement is so sharp
Maupay 7 Held the ball relatively well but missed a couple of excellent chances

Subs
Trossard 9 the difference maker
Duffy 7 got a goal and had almost no defending to do
Schelotto n/a

I’d imagine that they’re all based on algorithms and, therefore, are incapable of engaging in a proper analysis of performances
