...what with transport/time off work issues at such short notice for many and with it being on Sky, but would be massive demand for Palace.

I don't suppose I'm the only one to have already booked off Thursday-Tuesday as holiday, just to be sure of covering all eventualities? (I've included Tuesday, as I'm allowing for potential celebrations on the Monday night meaning I really don't want to get up for work in the morning!)

Now that's what I call covering all bases! Do you have to take it off as now booked, or can you work in the unlikely event of a doomsday scenario?

Given that fixtures won't be known until Saturday evening at the earliest, Monday is a bank holiday, and the first game is on the following Thursday, how on earth are they going to sell and post out tickets in time?
So they should put the tickets on sale on Sunday, and they should work on the Monday too, so they can put the tickets in the post first thing Tuesday. Most should get there on Wednesday.

Nearly impossible for us to play Watford away first leg!! Watford can only come 5th at lowest now. In order to do that and for Palace to come 3rd (we get 4th in order to play Watford) Palace would have to win their last 3 and at the same time overhaul 7 points and a vastly inferior goal difference to Watford!

So realistically the teams we can play away in first leg are Palace, Bolton, Leicester or Forest.
and Charlton :)

I should be able to cancel it if I want to.
Only booked it this week when it became a high probablility, and thought it'd be good to chill even on the days we weren't playing.
You're right, though, if we do end up 7th placed, I probably won't want to mope around while the Scum are gloating, so would probably rather go into work after all.

Best of all for me (bar Palace of course) as only a couple of miles from where I work!!

Apols, forgot to answer your post about Brighton marathon. No, didnt do this year, and in fact have hung up marathon boots, and will stick to more sensible distances in future. Your fantastic photo of an amazing day for me still has pride of place on the mantelpiece, so thanks again!!

Don't get your hopes up, it's more unlikely than an unlikely thing (I have a gift with words).

Good plan.

Excellent, pleased to hear it - you're very welcome.

To keep it fair, and easy for the van drivers, start from the most Westerly tip of West Sussex and head towards Eastbourne, visiting the home of each season ticket holder on the way, which should mean we'll be well served in Arundel and everyone up to and around Hove should be spot on! Just an idea ....

Queue at Ticket office after the Wolves game, that would at least give the early leavers a legitimate excuse for leaving the game early.

Don't think they'll be interested in the play offs! Like a normal game, the season ends early for them.

That was for the final, not the first leg of the play-offs.

The situation wasn't helped by posts on NSC to the effect that "if you don't get down to Withdean by 3pm, you stand no chance of getting a ticket". Absolutely untrue - since tickets were available throughout the following week and, in fact, never sold out at all.

We did sell out the Cardiff final didn't we? It seemed pretty full to me. Though admittedly I wasn't completely sober.

Unless the club take applications for the away fixture before the last game of season and if the person can't go then they get a refund, there will be a system as it has happened to loads of clubs in the past

Suspect all parties are waiting for the outcome of games this weekend as everything will probably be a lot clearer. Online sales first with collection at the club (late opening of ticket office for a few days would help us out of towners).
