Still waiting for the Secretary of State’s approval – and seeing as they are not Brighton that will probably be a formality.

Look like an ugly box - no where near as classy as Falmer!

No wonder the picture is in darkness if thats all they're building.
Looks like a giant B&Q with the roof off.

Im trying to think, what do other football teams think OUR football stadium looks like?

sorry, cant do a link but if you go on skyscrapercity there is a thread where almost all posters are highly complimentry on its design.

After all the shit we've been through over the last few years, it feels so good to be able to slag off other teams grounds, even new ones.
Thankyou TB.

I suppose it all boils down to budgeting, but its quite startling just how unimaginative some of these new stadium designs are these days. Shrewsbury and Colchester being a case in point, but they're small fry in comparison. However, a big city like Bristol, you'd think they'd get something a little more iconic.

Is that actually supposed to be their World Cup venue if England gets it in 2018 then ? Just shows what a farce nominating cities such as Bristol and Plymouth was, if thats the case.

May not be as simple as they think - it is proposed to build it on green belt land and there is housing adjacent. Sainsburys have already confirmed they will buy Ashton gate if it goes ahead - next to those nice people from Focus DIY (!)

The problem with get all futeristic is that they quickly become shit. Probably against the grain this but imo Huddersfields stadium now looks a bit tacky but when it was built it generally amazed and impressed.

At least with B.Citys stadium it is functional and timeless

I actually quite like it. Falmer will allways be special, we've got teh arch and things, it doesn't look good now but absolutly shite in 10 years time. THis will very much be the same. It looks farily nice IMO.
