Uncle Buck said:Nice batting line up, but do tell as who will keep wicket?

How far away are Matty Prior and Tim Ambrose from selection?
Uncle Buck said:Not sure Ambrose is qualified and Prior's keeping has the same flaws as Gerriant Jones.
ChapmansThe Saviour said:Who's keeping on the A tour? Read?
ChapmansThe Saviour said:Err, so what is Read doing this winter?
Pieterson was replaced by Alistair Cook of Essex today.

Pavilionaire said:It's ridiculous to suggest Flintoff is the start of the tail - he's a genuine world-class all-rounder with 5 test centuries, an average comfortably in the 30s, and a recent test average over the last couple of years in the 40s.
Botham used to bat 6 when England were a class side, and his test average was about the same as Flintoff's is now.
One of the reasons we must find a place for Pietersen is that he can score quickly, and that means setting fields and run chase targets is risky for the opposition.
Having the likes of Flintoff and Pietersen in the team will make the Aussies think twice about setting generous declaration totals, and this may force them to go for more shots in order to rack up enough runs sufficiently quickly. Therefore, we need 4 quality pacemen plus Giles to take advantage.
