Norwich vs Luton
Macclesfield vs Wigan/Bournemouth (only if Wigan get through the replay)

Absolute classics. If only Wigan can get through that replay, if only! Norwich v Luton I can't wait:yawn:

Brighton v Arsenal (and even Swansea) is a far better game than both these, I am sure nearly all would agree, whether Brighton biased, as we are, or not.

Your telling me that a non-league vs Premier League game wont be on TV ? Its certain to be on because of the "magic of the cup factor". Wigan are fairly crap too, so they could get knocked out. Your post is rather biased towards Brighton though. Just because we have already knocked a Premier League team out, we dont have a right to be on TV.

Have gone for what I think will be chosen as opposed to what I would choose:

Norwich City v Luton Town
West Ham United/Manchester United v Fulham/Blackpool
Macclesfield Town v Wigan Athletic/Bournemouth
Leeds United/Birmingham City v Tottenham Hotspur
Southend United/Brentford v Chelsea

Dependant on Man Utd and Wigan winning their replays

I was the same as your last four ties, but think a North West Lancashire derby of Oldham v Liverpool would be higher on the agenda than Norwich v Luton.

It wont be on TV because the Prem club are at home. If it was at Luton it might have been on TV.

I’d say we are nailed on for a TV appearance

Wenger under pressure and the associated fallout if he loses
The apparent piss easiness to set up TV at the AMEX
The fact there are only 8 ties that you would even consider showing and the overall lack of big games

Oldham v Liverpool
Leeds / Brum V Spurs
Brighton V Arsenal / Swansea
Man Utd / Hammers V Fulham / Blackpool
Millwall V Villa

That said, I wouldn’t be surprised if Man City or Chelsea games were shown (at the expense of Millwall) but I would be if the Norwich game was – There’s no romance watching a premier league team stuff a non league one at home.

But it is not is it, it is Prem v Non league and that is a big difference. The Norwich end will be half empty!

Let's take out the emotion of BHA and lets put the team one below is in the Championship as an example. You have a choice Derby v Arsenal/Swansea or Norwich v Luton or Macclesfield v Wigan/ Bournemouth.

It's a no brainer, well for me (and hopefully TV execs) Arsenal are a massively supported side, from the armchair (and the stands). A damn site bigger than Norwich and Wigan, no-one wants to watch Wigan even people from Wigan don't want to watch Wigan.

Oldham Athletic v Liverpool
Millwall v Aston Villa
Leeds United/Birmingham City v Tottenham Hotspur
Brighton & Hove Albion v Swansea City/Arsenal
Crystal Palace/Stoke City v Manchester City
Southend United/Brentford v Chelsea

5 out of these. Think we are competing against Milwall as to who will be shown, others are certs.

They won't gamble on Maccs V wigan/bournemouth as bournemouth on fine form and could KO Wigan. Maccs v wigan also won't attract many people to watch.

That is a result for me, one of the times I cannot make has gone. Just the Saturday 5:30 to go, although I think this where we are going to end up.

They arent picked on "which club has the biggest fan base" - they are picked on the upset-scale - why our game vs Newcastle was picked, as we have history of dumping them out.

Maybe not the Wigan game actually, but i can still see the Millwall/Villa game being before us as there is a good chance of an upset.

Brighton - In your face
Me:

Oldham v Liverpool
Leeds United/Birmingham City v Tottenham Hotspur
Brighton & Hove Albion v Swansea City/Arsenal
West Ham United/Manchester United v Fulham/Blackpool
Southend United/Brentford v Chelsea

That would be my choice but I think the City game will get the nod over ours.

So definitive list-

Saturday 26 January 2013
Crystal Palace or Stoke City v Manchester City (12.45pm) - ITV1
West Ham United or Manchester United v Blackpool or Fulham (5.30pm) - ESPN

Sunday 27 January 2013
Southend United or Brentford v Chelsea (12pm) - ESPN
Leeds United or Birmingham City v Tottenham Hotspur (2pm) - ESPN
Oldham Athletic v Liverpool (4pm) - ITV1
