I agree with you and also dislike the term “lose someone”
This sounds like you have been careless and mislaid them. You can lose your keys, your wallet or your phone but the phrase really annoys me when I hear it in relation to death.

I know it brings comfort to some and many won’t agree with me but it’s a phrase I don’t like to hear.

Have you lost someone recently?

You better go find them.

What...

I would put good money on if a monkey saw me panic buying loo roll or queuing for six hours for petrol, or leave 5 minutes before the match finishes to run for the train he wouldn't bother.

actually i do none of the above, just call me monkey freakout from now on.

Park up. Why the "up"?

This morning I woke up at eight, washed up the dishes, locked up my house, drove up to another house I have bought to fix up, parked up on the road, and opened up the house for the builders.

There are a lot of ups we don't need, why is park up the one that ties you up in knots?
