Went with Robertson (yes, I know, bad fan), but normally Robertson is a reliable defender for Liverpool, and IMO stronger than Pervis in that respect. Pervis switches off a little sometimes when tracking back, see West Ham.

Pervis probably shades it going forward, but overall, not loads in it, and Robertson does cross a good ball.

Do I want Robertson in our team though? No. Pervis suits our style more.
The Robertson of 3 years ago maybe but not now. Been poor for a couple of seasons, Pervis now far superior.

I think RDZ could make great use of Robertson, he can play the game, he's a creative player. He certainly has far more pace (as a FB) than Gross or Milner, who RDZ's dabbled with as FB's.

It reminds of that brief Albion period watching the Ferrari of left backs Wayne Bridge.
Wayne Bridge, Pervis or Gary Williams.

Re Gary Williams, defensively sound, crossed a good ball, and could certainly hit one as well, ask Shilts…..

Different era though……

Robertson has lost his edge and some pace now, Shaw is so overrated, Zinchenko is decent, Chillwell would be higher if he wasn't made of spaghetti and what about Rico Henry?

Personally I wouldn't take anyone over Pervis.
Zinchenko isn't up to much. He was poor in Arsenal's run in last season.

A good cheerleader, which seems to paper over his defensive shortcomings.

Bridge was incredible, even at that age. Would've won 100 England caps imho, if it hadn't been for world class Ashley Cole.

[Until September 2022 NO ONE questioned Robertson, he was a trophy winning machine. Then he had to cover for a centre midfield who's legs had gone and 3-years-older VVD is on the decline. It'll be interesting to see how he gets on with the entirely new midfield. He's only 29].

Zinchenko is really a midfielder, he can’t defend at all.

I would stay Robertson but wonder if Klopp’s geigenpress has done damage to him as the amount of running he has done for last 6 years must have taken it out of him

If i wanted a persistent fieriness and threat of a red card, Robertson.
For an attacking combination of fervour and delicacy, Estupinan.
I'd rather have the latter and live without that look of gargoylish revenge that tears down a reds wing with merciless vigour. Estupinan isn't always perfect, but at least he seems human.

Thank you chaps. We'll see him struggling to cope with Solly March for Man Utd next week.
If so, that will be a first time.
