I wonder if his wife has been let out of the suitcase yet, maybe it's only a stoning for the draw instead of a beheading
Ha! Interesting detective workI have no idea what this result on a Google search means - can anyone clarify it, as it looks....erm...'iffy'?
"Craig Pawson (born 2 March 1979) is an English professional football referee who officiates primarily in the Premier League, having been promoted to the panel of Select Group Referees in 2013, as well as in the Football League. He is based in Newcastle and is associated with Newcastle Fc ."
Not sure what the Newcastle fans were complaining about. He gave every single decision their way.Thank God for VAR, is all I can say.
He was so bad that we thought he was terrible and Newcastle fans thought he was terrible.
They think Weiffer should’ve been sent off.Not sure what the Newcastle fans were complaining about. He gave every single decision their way.
Guimaeres gets away with it every game.It started so early with the non foul and booking when burn flattened minteh.
Weifer I did not think was a foul but if it was a foul then it has to be a yellow. Bruno not getting booked was incredible. Three bad challenges and not a single one a yellow.
We should also have had a pen. That was a clear foul. He stood across the defender to shield the ball and was kicked over. I assume VAR couldn’t send to screen again.
Fair enough, but what does "...associated with Newcastle FC" mean, and does he officiate a higher proportion of their matches as opposed to other PL teams?Ha! Interesting detective work
He supports Sheffield United though
Premier League’s official match centre account tweeted a short statement on both overturns as if it was needed:
1. “57’ VAR OVERTURN - VAR checked the referee’s call of penalty for the challenge by Lamptey on Gordon and recommended that play restarted with a Newcastle free kick as the contact was outside the penalty area.”
2. “70’ VAR OVERTURN - VAR checked the referee’s call of penalty for the challenge by van Hecke on Willock and recommended an on-field review – with this deemed to be minimal contact and not sufficient for a penalty. Upon review, the referee awarded an indirect free kick to Brighton and issued a yellow card to Willock for simulation.”
Incompetence and poor refereeing but no conspiracy theories from me

Claims of bias against Craig Pawson show that football conspiracy theorists are out of control
Social media pundits have accused Pawson of an anti-Spurs and anti-Liverpool agenda over his 'reaction' to Harry Kane's injury-time winner against Man Cityinews.co.uk
