Absolutely. The idea of Corbyn's Islington elite having all that power to inflict socialism on everybody else is disgraceful.

The only way they would get that power is to be elected. Same way as Cameron's Eton mob (sort of) did and May's 'kippers as yet haven't. If they were to win an election, it's their prerogative surely?

lol what polls would that be? We've won all the by-elections, mayor elections?

If you are going to make a claim - make it correct.

Here is the latest poll - from The Guardian - you know, that massive Tory Rag?

Westminster voting intention:
CON: 43% (+2)
LAB: 26% (-)
LDEM: 8% (-)
UKIP: 11% (-3)
GRN: 6% (+2)
(via ICM / 07 - 09 Oct)
Chgs. vs. 23 Sep

On current boundaries that would mean a Conservative Majority of 114 in 2020 and a loss of 51 Labour MP's.

I've just complied a list of local By-Election results - I only got at far as July but it shows all over the Country Labour is losing support amongst local working class traditional voters

-22% in Glasgow
-17% in Hartlepool
-6% in Derby
-8% in Wellingborough
-22% in Newcastle!
-33% in Tupton!
-9% in Sheffield
-4% in Gravesham
-9% in Redcar
-20% in Newport

Pretty damning stuff.

Thanks for that enlightenment. I've been reading it for more than 45 years and never realised. I'll be buying the Mirror tomorrow - or maybe the Express - something more left-wing, at least.

But don't worry Corbyn supporters ..... Paul Weller is going to give a concert and all will be rosy in the garden.

Why is he doing it though? Leave it to those we elect to do it.

Its worrying that someone would vote for anyone based on the say so of a pop star.

Leave it to our lords and masters? Can you not cringe so openly to them, it's embarrassing. The idea that anyone is an "expert" in politics is bullshit, everyone has a right to a say

lol artifical May bounce that will fall apart as soon as she makes 20 u-turns in a year like Cameron did (one on registering foreign workers already on the board). Labour's vote will recover to 35% quickly if the twatty Labour MPs behave for a few months, and I'd agree that's not a given

I don't recognise labour voters anymore, do they even know or represent the working man? All the apparatchiks appear to middle class intellectuals and out of touch with the realities of today. To me Corbyn represents a return to the past, blackouts, miners strikes, car workers on strike, rubbish piling up on the streets and a failing policy in Northern Ireland! These are the same things that an angry Paul Weller wrote about, A Bomb in Wardour Street, In the City, Thick as Thieves, Private Hell et al. These protest songs written pre Thatcher related to life in a socialist led Britain. Come on Paul fess up, your a closet Tory!,

Well from a personal point of view I'm a lot more interested in May, Corbyn, Farrage, Farron etc etc opinions on such matters than I am Mr Weller's. That's not to say Mr Weller's opinion isn't relevant or one I agree or disagree with. I'd just rather he stuck to making music and left the politics to the politicians.

These u turns you talk of would be better left unchanged then?

No one is born a politician, and most of them are shit, from letting the banks crash the global economy to troughing on expenses with sums that would put a benefit scrounger in jail. I'd say we need as many voices from outside the bubble as we can, don't you?
