I think it would be great to see Ince in the Premiership and continue Blackburns good track record with managerial appointments.

Always good to see young English managers given a chance in the top league and it would happily put to bed the rumour that Steve McClaren could be back in work

Good luck to him. I get a bit envious seeing European teams do well under a young ex-playing manager (Van Basten, Bilic, etc) and sometimes think we could do with someone like that, but there's not too many around. I certainly think he could be future England material.

It's also pretty cool that MK Dons might not be so good this year in our League!

Big leap for him. Can't quite believe they didn't go with Allardyce.

Mark Hughes had never even managed a club before and seemed to do a pretty fine job of it at Blackburn.

Ince commands respect, will have some good contacts in the game and has already experienced success in his short managerial career to date.

I really hope he does well

fair play to Ince. He's not jumped straight in at the deep end and taken on a big club. Its refreshing to see a former high-profile player learning the ropes at the arse-end of the League before progressing to the bigger clubs.

A future England manager ? I hope so.

A big gamble in my opinion, he's done very well at the lower end of the leagues but the Premier League is a different beast. I thought Blackburn would plump ofr a manager who had already enjoyed success in the Prem like McLaren or Allardyce.

Think that it is too early for him.He is only managing for a couple of years now.
For my likening he is changing clubs too quick. He stays 1 or 2 years and he is gone.
Paul Ince will find his waterloo at Blackburn.

It's all rather interesting, two ex Manure stalwarts managing Premier clubs as well as Roy Keane. Which one, if any, would replace Fergusson ?

I would say Mark Hughs but down the road Ince would be my preference so that we could have an English manager for the national team.

Blackburn appear on the surface to be a very traditional club that is well run, I don't think that big Sam would provide the qualities they want from a manager...think suspicious financial practices around signing of players, allegedly!

I think Hughes may have harmed his chances of becoming Man United boss by taking over at Manchester City.

Similarly would Man U fans want Ince back after he moved to Liverpool to their disgust on his return from Italy?

I make if four in total- Ince, Hughes, Keane and Steve Bruce.

Plus of course the rumours that Clayton Blackmore is soon to take over as the new boss of Liverpool.

I may have made that last one up.

To be honest I think that Manure have had too much success to worry about what their cast offs have done since they left. If Hughs, Ince or Keane have been successful with any Premier club Manure will welcome them back with open arms. To be fair to Manure, they're a club that has no reason to be bitter or envious.

Like it or not they are the biggest club in the world.

As an aside, I see this Uefa Pro Licence is once again WELL worth the paper its written on. Ince will be getting "special dispensation", just like everyone else who doesn't bother with it. What a pointless rule.

Plus they would have sen how absolutely useless he was at Newcastle. And to think he was being talked about as a possible England manager, less than two years ago! You can see him at somewhere like Stoke after they're long doomed but the board have to be seen to act, or at a Championship club. You have to applaud Blackburn for appointing another British manager. I don't particuarly like them but hope it works out.

Let's face it, the word 'pointless' and 'Uefa' in the same sentence is pretty common.

I thought it was tremendous how Newcastle really stuck with Allardyce though, and really gave him every chance during that 5 months he was there.
