I remember chatting to some United FAns on the train back from the last home game.
They confessed to paying £400 for their ticket in the away end.
They would never have the opportunity to buy an away ticket through normal means.

I just can't understand anyone spending that sort of money to watch a league match at the Amex.
Makes you realise how lucky we are to support our club.

Where did they live? I'm guessing nowhere near Manchester. This could be the only 'local' match that they go to. £400 is still ridiculous.

Well, United started the entire fleece culture so crocodile tears here. But yes, we follow our local club so avoid the worst. I’d just give up supporting Albion if we became Man U etc. We’ve a local identity. They’re all just global corporations everyman and his dog around the world wants to associate with. For what? Utterly meaningless. For every Manc that supports them, there’s a thousand Manchurians claiming similarly.

Really sorry if this is a fixtures moment, BUT, how long before the game starts can you put your Newcastle ticket on the exchange?

is it the day before?
I put mine on at least a week and a half ago. Problem is it's a single ticket and as yet not sold.

EDIT - ignore - @Dave the hatosaurus understood the question better than I did !!!!

I would have spent £400 for Europa league final ticket (had we got there)without a hesitation a league match though? No chance.

Londoners. Young lads.

Seemed to be committed fans though.
Didn't come over as tourists.

Well yeah me too, though a Europa League Final is very much a one off!

The chances of us appearing in another one, in my lifetime at least are, ermmm, uncertain at best, negligible at worst!

Not my planet. I think the most i’ve ever paid was for the FA Cup semi, it would have been the mid price ones (£70?)
Having said that I bought two tickets in the Ajax end for £120 the pair, when my son secured a returned Albion ticket this left me with a spare, My mate put me on to a dad n lad he knew so we got the lad (15) in with us, they were very greatful and the dad said he was happy watching it in the pub in the knowledge his lad got in (I can relate to that) however no money was discussed and I was swept away with euphoria that day so didnt want to spoil it by asking him to cough up 🤣🤣 so thinking about it, that was the most I spent on a ticket.
My wife’s AEK ticket in the home end was £110 IIRC
Not sure I’d go near some of the prices on that video 😳
The problem with a global fanbase like Arsenal’s is that the fans who go will have had their tickets comfortably secured at a reasonable rate. In that video you have someone saying how much they spent in Swiss Francs…

I’m not saying that fans from abroad shouldn’t be able to go to games but priority should always be for those who go regularly and clubs do try to provide this. In a perfect world the black market isn’t functional and regardless of how much money you can throw at it, you can’t skip the queue.

I do find this whole thing quite odd. I have a few friends who actively share a ST between them. One has 1 ticket and shares it with 4 other friends. Yes, they are all middle aged and well behaved and never cause a fuss or disturbance at games, but never once has any of them been asked to prove who they are.

It appears if you don't cause a fuss and behave in a quiet manner then no one seems to worry. Of the 4 matches this season I've been to all have been using my neighbour's ST when he couldn't go. No questions asked. I may be technically breaking the rules but it seems to me if you have reliable and trustworthy friends then this would rarely ever become an issue.

Was never an issue when we had physical ST cards either
