Swindon Town's top scorer Sam Parkin believes his impressive strike rate against Brighton will provide a psychological advantage this Sunday. Town host the Seagulls in the first leg of the Division Two play-off semi-finals and go into the match with a strong record over their opponents.
The Robins took four points from Brighton in the regular season, drawing 2-2 at the Withdean Stadium in September and winning 2-1 at the County Ground in December.
And 22-goal Parkin scored both goals in Sussex and struck the first in Wiltshire.
"I think it will definitely be an advantage," Parkin said.
"You take anything that will work in your favour and having scored against them three times is a major positive.
"I would imagine their defenders will be wary of me and Tommy (Mooney) also. We had two good results against them. We outplayed them down there but unfortunately only got a point.
"And we beat them at home around Christmas time and hopefully all these factors will work in our favour."
Brighton have been boosted by the news that goalkeeper Ben Roberts, who kept successive clean sheets in Albion's last five League matches, will be available for Sunday's match despite nursing a bruised foot. n Town End tickets for the first leg have sold out, except for a handful of season ticket seats that have yet to be claimed.
Box office manager Stuart Pike said he expected the whole stadium to sell out "very quickly" when tickets go on general sale on Friday.
Fans with three home match ticket stubs can by first leg tickets today.
About 500 of the 1,062 tickets for the second leg were left last night, but are still only available to season ticket holders.
