Swindon Town's top scorer Sam Parkin believes his impressive strike rate against Brighton will provide a psychological advantage this Sunday. Town host the Seagulls in the first leg of the Division Two play-off semi-finals and go into the match with a strong record over their opponents.

The Robins took four points from Brighton in the regular season, drawing 2-2 at the Withdean Stadium in September and winning 2-1 at the County Ground in December.

And 22-goal Parkin scored both goals in Sussex and struck the first in Wiltshire.

"I think it will definitely be an advantage," Parkin said.

"You take anything that will work in your favour and having scored against them three times is a major positive.

"I would imagine their defenders will be wary of me and Tommy (Mooney) also. We had two good results against them. We outplayed them down there but unfortunately only got a point.

"And we beat them at home around Christmas time and hopefully all these factors will work in our favour."

Brighton have been boosted by the news that goalkeeper Ben Roberts, who kept successive clean sheets in Albion's last five League matches, will be available for Sunday's match despite nursing a bruised foot. n Town End tickets for the first leg have sold out, except for a handful of season ticket seats that have yet to be claimed.

Box office manager Stuart Pike said he expected the whole stadium to sell out "very quickly" when tickets go on general sale on Friday.

Fans with three home match ticket stubs can by first leg tickets today.

About 500 of the 1,062 tickets for the second leg were left last night, but are still only available to season ticket holders.

MARK McGhee gave Sam Parkin his first taste of senior football _ and the Town striker aims to show his ‘gratitude’ by slamming in the goals which sink the Seagulls’ play-off hopes.

The County Ground’s leading scorer was a 19-year-old in Chelsea’s reserves when he jumped at the chance of a loan spell with Millwall in September 2000.

Parkin netted four goals in seven starts for the Lions, then managed by McGhee.

However, there will be no room for sentiment on Sunday as the 23-year-old looks to build on an impressive scoring record against Brighton.

Parkin said: “I played a few games at Millwall under Mark McGhee and I enjoyed it.

“He was very fair and I got on well with him.

“Millwall had plenty of other strikers at the time such as Neil Harris and Richard Sadlier but the manager seemed happy for me to extend my stay.

“I decided against it, though, and went on to Wycombe where I was part of that great FA Cup run.

“I have respect for Mark as a manager and I would hope he has respect for me as a player.”

Parkin goes into Sunday’s play-off opener armed with the knowledge that he has already breached Albion’s defence three times this season.

He said: “I think my best game of the season was probably the 2-2 draw we had down at Brighton, not just because of the two goals but also my all round game.”

Parkin had missed a penalty the week before that game and had gone two matches without a goal.

The bad news for Brighton is that the striker goes into Sunday’s match hungry for goals after two recent disappointments.

He said: “Sometimes it can help you when you feel you’ve something to prove and it gives you even more motivation.

“The goals are important at this stage. I haven’t done that for a couple of games and these two matches are the time to put it right.

“If I score two goals and don’t have a particularly good game, I’m sure everyone will take that.”

Parkin is desperate to help Town back to Division One but there is no question of looking for a hasty exit if the play-off campaign should end in tears.

He said: “I’ve recently signed a new contract and I’ve been over the moon with the progression the club has made.

“Signing that contract showed my commitment to the club.

“Everyone at the County Ground knows what kind of lad I am and how committed I am to the club I’m at.

“Hopefully I’ll be sitting on a beach somewhere in the summer looking forward to coming back here for a fresh campaign.

“Put it this way, I’d be very surprised if I’m not back reporting for training at Wanborough in July.”

Parkin is an immobile lanky wanker who struck lucky this season. Cullip will put him in his pocket and keep him there.

Leon has more talent in his little toe.

MARK McGhee gave Sam Parkin his first taste of senior football _ and the Town striker aims to show his ‘gratitude’ by not scoring the goals which put the Seagulls’ on the way to cardiff

The County Ground’s leading scorer was a 13-year-old in palaces reserves when he jumped at the chance of a loan spell with orient in September 2000.

Parkin netted four goals in seven starts for the o's, then managed by steve coppell.

However, there will be no room for sentiment on Sunday as the 23-year-old looks to build on an impressive scoring record against Brighton.

Parkin said: “I played a few games at palace under steve coppell and I really hated it, the fans are wankers and croydon is full of pikeys

“He was very odd and I heard he had vd, but that didnt stop me giving him a little gobble after training one day.

“palace had plenty of other strikers at the time such as Neil Harris and Richard Sadlier but the manager seemed only too happy for me to carry on sucking his cock.

“I decided against it, cos i preferred a good ass pounding, and went on to Wycombe where I was part of that great FA Cup run.

“I have respect for steve as a manager, but not as a lover and I would hope he has respect for me for my blow job technique.”

Parkin goes into Sunday’s play-off opener armed with the knowledge that he has already breached Albion’s defence three times this season.

He said: “I think my best game of the season was probably the 2-2 draw we had down at Brighton, not just because of the two goals but also hooking up with stevey for some of the fun we had when i was young.”

Parkin had missed a penalty the week before that game and had gone two matches without a goal.

The good news for the mighty Brighton is that the striker goes into Sunday’s match hungry for yet more ass action and thus may have trouble walking after two recent disappointments in the local public toilets at the whitgift , swindon

He said: “Sometimes it can help you walk better when you feel the nice sensation of the vaseline on our aris.

“The goals are important at this stage. I haven’t done that for a couple of games and dont plan to against the mighty stripes, these two matches are not the time to put it right.

“If I score two goals and don’t have a particularly good game, then i sincerely hope brighton score 3, their fans deserve it

Parkin is desperate to help Town back to Division One but not this season. there is no question of looking for a hasty exit when the play-off campaign should end in tears.

He said: “I’ve recently signed a new contract which counts for f*** all and I’ve been made to feel very welcome by everyone at the club, especially in the bath after games when we're all naked writhing amongst the bubbles.

“Signing that contract showed how much i enjoy my 'partnership' with tommy 'two inch' mooney.

“Everyone at the County Ground knows what kind of lad I am, yes im a wanker, and how committed I am to the club I’m at.

“Hopefully I’ll be sitting in a caravan somewhere in the summer in croydon with tommy's head bobbing up and down on my member looking forward to coming back here for a fresh campaign and more bubbles in the bath!!!.

“Put it this way, I’d be very surprised if I’m not back reporting for my ass pounding at Wanborough in July. good luck brighton”
