Eagle eyed view of you...
Brilliant thread

If we stay up, I'm looking forward to bumping all the ones about how we're gonna get relegated/we'll never play at Falmer because we're gonna get relegated/relegated again whilst you get promoted (although will turn out true due to always being at least one division above you).

Much as i hate Palarse, i have to give you a lot of respect if you overcome this.
I won't begrudge you at all any further if you stay up. it'd be nice to play you again next season, but if you stay up, fairplay to you.
We'll just have to make sure we go up next season and give you good hiding at Falmer
Good luck for the rest of the season.

It's gonna take you 5 years to become bigger? f*** me that will take it to about 30 years. I can handle that

:lolol:

I'd say 1-2 seasons to become bigger, 5 until we are in the Prem, and you are in League Two or don't have a club.
With a chairman with the ambition of ours, an amazing stadium on the way, one of the best young managers in the country at the helm and a team that is actually taking shape, I would say we are one of the best set-up teams in the country at the moment. The only way is up for us.

If he had that much ambition, he could have got you out the division this season, seems he likes a gamble, but knows when he is beat.:p

If Gus would've been here earlier, probably.
I genuinely think Slade would've taken us down this season, so I'm just glad Bloom had the balls to be ruthless.
There's only one way to find out how this is going to work out i guess. Sit back and lap it up when we're up in top spot this time next season

You've got nothing upfront though. Over the course of a whole season, with the current squad, you would struggle because you wouldn't have the goals in you. Stern John and Alan Lee, by championship standards, appears a bit of a joke to me.

Is this consortium meant to have some cash then? I was under the impression you were getting a bit of a Dick Knight type figure - ie well intentioned and honourable but without the money to move massively forward?

We're only a decent striker away from being a decent side (yes I know that's expensive!). Remember, if we hadn't had our 10 points deducted, we'd be 9th. I hear people on here banging on about your midfield, Ambrose and Danns have 28 goals between them this season for us.

Considering we lost our 2 best players in Moses and Fonte in Jan, our points tally hasn't been bad at all.

We'll be fine next season if we stay up, there are plenty of poor teams in this division i.e. Barnsley etc.

You lot are starting to sound like a poor mans Tottenham, every season it's gonna be your year and you're not afraid to say it despite the fact it never happens.

delusional as well obesesed with us. Mate you are a ground short of a football club. Dont ant to rain on your parade but selhurst is owned by the administrator who will sell the site to the highest bidder (as is his legal duty) - probably Wimpy Homes or some development company for a retail park

The council have stated that the ground will not be allowed to be used for anything other than a football stadium. Therefore, the most probable outcome will be that CPFC 2010 will make a successful bid for it. Whatever happens, it will almost certainly still be our home.
Stick to what you know best .

Following on from the last comment, you know nothing about the ground situation...

The company who owns the ground Rock PLC or something have gone into administration as well. Whoever buys the ground can only use it for footballing use and because they are in admin, it will be sold at a reduced rate.

I'm relatively optimistic if we're taken over by CPFC2010 and they obtain the stadium, if they want to raise money after taking over they can just sell one of the endless streams of talent coming out of our academy at present.

yeah brighton & hove council said the same about the Soldstone until "the club" asked for that to be removed so "the club" could sell the site to "fund a new ground". The soldstone was sold for £7 Million hat paid a few debts and would have ket the club afloat a couple of years. Albion were then Gillingham and the Soldstone was sold for £30 Million plus a year later by the new owners who funnily enough were a company associated by the chairman that owned the club and who asked for the covenant to be removed. Palace my friend are up shit creek, but keep that head in the sand

Sounds like you're an authority on OUR ground situation.
