The BBS quote from the OP is obviously complete fabrication. However it does highlight once again, the interesting question of Student discounted tickets. As a two University city (not to mention the plethora of language schools), Students directly & indirectly account for 1/3 (1bn) of the Brighton & Hove economy; take them away and you'd lose that invigorating and ever changing dynamism that makes Brighton the best city to live in in the country. Brighton would slowly decay into a turtle hive like Eastbourne or maybe even drop to the status of Hastings as one of the most deprived areas of the UK.

I don't believe our great club should offer a Student discount for all games but rather, there should be a cut off period of 48hrs or 24hrs before the match when Student discounted tickets would kick in. I realise in practice, no Student discounted tickets would be available if we were ever to get to the Premiership but I'd like to think the club could offer an affordable special discount once every other fan had had their chance to purchase a ticket. There are thousands of Students resident in Falmer.

Brighton has a knack of keeping hold of it's graduates, they don't like to leave the city once their degree is over. You will find graduates in every single trade/job in Brighton. They could move to somewhere like Hull or Slough and get a graduate job but prefer to stay in Brighton and maybe sweep the street; because of it's unrivaled culture, coolness and maybe in the future. . . . football team. Lets give the Students a chance to experience the magic of the Amex & the passion of the Albion and fill our stadium by giving them dirt cheap tickets at the last minute. you never know, we could be indoctrinating thousands of new BHA STHs like McDonalds does with young children and happy meals?

Totally agree. There should be a few hundred student tickets available from Friday lunchtime unless a sell out is on. Let's get the next Ralf Rangnick hooked :)

palace only getting 2k as well. so im told.[/QUO

Sorry Chucky,Palace are getting 2,500,no reason to give them less. Will be a great atmosphere even with a 12.00 kick off

There is a reason = it's where we put them. It's been 2000 all season - why more for Palace, especially when we will sell all the other tickets ourselves.

However, if you are right then one of the following scenarios has to happen:-

A) STH's in the south will have to be moved (very unlikely)
B) Away fans will also be housed in block S1B (possible, but unlikely as Insider has already confirmed on here that the ESL will be home fans only after a re think and complaints about the proximity of away fans to ESL STH's)

So no other league away team has been given more than 2,000 tickets?

If that's true why are we giving Palace 2,500 when the seats will sell out to home fans?

How difficult would it be to get 100 points, it's 10 an away game an 30 a home cup game isn't it? So potentially if you've been to Arsenal, Newcastle and 4 away games you be sorted (and that's not taking into account points from last season).

It's 20 for a cup game.. can't remember if you get points for a home league game though

No sign of the north corners through the online booking site yet

Only seats available in the south stand are 8 in the sw corner, what the f*** is that all about do the club like empty seats at games. And why are the scum and all aways fans not stuck up out of the way in East or west upper, giving them the majority of the stand behind the goal shows lack of thought and planning by the club when seating arrangements were being put into place prior to last season.Does any one know when Albion fans can buy tickets in the south

Bad idea to have away fans in the upper tiers.

Would have the unnecessary expense of re-configuring the segregation of the concourses( why should Tony fund that?), and would be very unpopular with the thousands of season ticket holders up there who would have to move.
