The simple answer would have been do as Southampton and Portsmouth did and distribute the match tickets on the train from East Croydon so all their fans had to travel via train or not have a ticket and then escort them back to the station and if needs be keep our fans in for 10 mins before opening the exit Wouldn't that be a bit out of the way for Saints and Pompey fans (think of the environment!!!!)

If that is where the tickets were issued, as per Southampton and Portsmouth on coaches, they would or not get a ticket. As regards Falmer station why can they not pull 6 of the coaches onto the platform then shut those doors and pull forward and fill up the rest of the train.

Or we could do the same as last year and have no problems, even the"turn right" bit was not used except for the Millwall game.
I am sure a person of our vintage is not going to be a top target for a palarse thug so in the words of a recently deceased fat bloke "calm down dear"

Why can't we simply stagger kick off. If we start at 12, Palace kick off at 12:45, there will be 45 minutes for those that want to get an earlier bus to leave in whatever direction they want.

I have already posted this on Ask The Club, but feel so strongly that I hope others will follow suit and complain.
I have a ST in WSL. I have one of the most expensive standard tickets in the stadium. I leave with my wife and son the moment the whistle blows and we exit left from the West Stand to run along the back past the South West corner along the side of the bank under the coach park then into the Mill Road Park & Ride filter. Now for the Palace match, with no explanation, we have to make our way all the way round the stadium to return virtually where we started except we will miss all the buses, be last in the queue, forced to walk past the Palace fanss who, of course, will be on their best behaviour, and get back to the Mill Rd P + R significantly later than usual. Why are your best customers (as we are now known) being given the worst treatment. Frankly it's not good enough and must not set a precedent.

This is a wind up I presume?

And me and my 2 kids had to endure the ' best behaviour' of your fans last time we played there-both as bad as eachother-so a bit unfair to tag us with the bad reputation don't you think?

In the words of my son why cant Sussex Police do what the Met did at Selhurst, kept them in after the finish and then escorted them in a long queue direct to the station and not allow anybody to break off, apparently it was very successful.

different ground, different infrastruction, different travel arrangements. I'm more pissed off that it clashes with the Eastenders omnibus....

(and it didnt work well at Selhurst, if was f***ing freezing and the OB were a little trigger happy with their big sticks).

I assmue this isn't a wind up as you have also posted on Ask the club...... I hope ATC gives you a similar answer to most on here and tells you to get over it and stop being a nob.

Seriously, would you prefer the club/police to let fans exit the stadium only in reverse order of the price they paid for their ticket? becasue that is basically what you have said?

The problem I have is that I need to go up the steps opposite the away exit, and I am seating in West Stand Upper. This means I need to loop around the whole building to get back to where I started from (pretty much) I guess I will just need to stay behind for a drink, but still. Bit of a hassle for those that park in Preston Village.

I just hope the OP remembers to mark "L" on one shoe and "R" on the other so that he knows the correct way to leave the ground on that day.

I have one of the cheapest season tickets in the stadium (WSU south end), but I'm going to have to follow the same procedure at the Palace match. It's making me a bit uncomfortable about having to mix with my betters on the way round the stadium to the buses, I must say. What if I were inadvertently to say something uncouth? I will, however, do my best to walk behind those from the posh seats, at a suitably respectful distance, with my head bowed.
I really think that proper segregation of the different classes of customer has to be the way forward.
