Chippy, Hart, Nicolas & Oatway retained.

McCammon 3 months if we get a new manager

IMHO

As much as I like the fella, I can't see Chippy being retained. I'm afraid his legs looked like they'd gone for most of the season. He just lacked that yard to actually close people down, and just that crucial extra split-second to pick a pass rather than lump it forward.

He's been brilliant for us, but I don't think there's anything more to come.

Depends if MM (or whoever) decides on the same old routine of retaining 99% and pulling in 1 or 2 extra players. We need a serious clear out but I can't see this happening.

Is it possible that his injury has played a part in his recent run of poor form? If I remember correctly he was rushed back for the Southampton game a week or so before he was ready. Maybe this has had an effect on his game?

It's a nice thought, but I can't see it. I think he struggled for most of the season.

I hope he does keep Oatway, Mayo, Butters and Hart.

Mayo can do a job in the centre of midfield, even if it is just coming off the bench.

Butters looked shattered, having played in every game this season (or near enough).

Oatway provides great leadership and there is no denying we have struggled without him.

Hart

Dodd, McPhee, McCammon, will not get new contracts.
Mayo, Butters, doubtful.
Oatway (definite), Carpenter (Maybe), Nicolas (maybe), Hart (most certainly) would be how I would imagine they would call it although you never know.

Have heard on the grapevine so to speek that Mcghee wants to keep Mayo. But assuming he isnt here by then then that theory is out of the window.:D

As far as i was aware Mayo had a clause in his contract to automatically renew a one year deal if a certain amount of games was passed which i though he had.

Shoot! Forgot about Nicolas! Needs a run really...to late this season.

Chippy could do with a serious rest and recuperate properly from his early season injury. Pay as you play? He looked in good form early season and then had to be rushed back after the injury.

McPhee? Undecided. Gives 110%, could be an effective foil in Lge One. Played fairly well before for us, at that level.

Big Mac - too many problems to rectify. Unsettling?

Agree with all, except Nicolas should be given 2 years, if he takes it.
