Our striker situation is abysmal.

Poor first touch from both of them today (I think they both controlled it with their hands/arms). It was almost as if the midfield didn't think it was worth feeding the ball to them because they would do naff all with it.

Forward line needs a complete overhaul, IMO. But that's easier said than done!

Our forwards are League One, if we don't find at least one Championship quality one in this window there is a very good chance they will be playing with us in League One next season. Our recruitment of strikers is abysmal and I have very little faith the club will pay what is needed to get the right type of player before the end of the month. We will stay in relegtion trouble if this is not adequately addressed. Hughton cannot be expected to win the games that matter if his strikers are as crap as ours are. We have ridden our luck in the recent wins, none were comprehensive.

Sam and CMS struggle would like to see Toxteth O'Grady get a full game.

We desperately need a Murry
Unfortunately GM has played for Reading on a half season loan, and for the tools at Palace this season, and so can only be signed by us on a 93 day loan :nono:

Perhaps we need an attacking coach, dedicated to looking at how we create space in the box, angle ourselves for through balls and get into the six yard box. Too often, we are not there.

I have been thinking this for years. If we have a specialist goalkeeping coach, I would like to see a specialist attacking coach. The Danish tacticians have some good ideas, like specialists training schedules. I think it requires technique like being able to kick with both feet.

Th decidedly unimpressive Baldock might suit these ideas. We have got him on a long contract and he is not quick enough to be a winger/striker so we have got to use him somehow!

I have just the man for that attack specialist coach!

COG is looking like our best striker just now. We can't let him go. Why play our big money striker on the wing where he clearly brings nothing to the team? Play the two of them as a partnership and see if it works!

one decent striker playing for us in nearly 4 years at The Amex, is totally unacceptable.
Same old same old, CMS running round like a headless chicken on his own today. Really frustrating

Top post.
And even Ulloa had many poor games - sulking as refs correctly ignored his whinging as centrehalves outmuscled him.
Is the major failing of Poyet, then Burke, in the Amex player recruitment era.

Unfortunately it's been our biggest problem all season. Think how many of the draws could have been wins if we had someone capable of slotting it home. Hopefully, and I'm sure it has, this will be rectified by Chris Hughton and the club over the next couple of weeks - please!

I'd personally not be disappointment if all 4 of our 'strikers' were sold in Jan - Colunga doesn't look interested - get rid

Not often Id disagree with you mate, but I think Colunga has looked the best of our strikers when given the chance. I think he's technically better than both Baldrick and CMS.

The rest though, yeah I agree.

Yeh he is without doubt technically better. He just ****ed me off yest as his attitude seemed all wrong - walking around when he's just come on and his team mates are knackered playing 10 v 11 for half hr. I just don't see how any of our strikers come close to the ones we be had recently

Probably hacked off that inferior players get chosen to start ahead of him.

have to say i agree. CMS should be nowhere near the side, colunga should be where CH insists on playing Baldock and either COG or Baldock should be in the middle or maybe.....both!
