Super news. Great shakeup by May.

For me Osbourne had to go the slimy weasel. Really hope he was sacked

Osborne reportedly sacked, and not even in the Cabinet. Poor Bozza.

Did you tag the wrong user?

Johnson as foreign secretary? I guess when the Labour Party are an utter laughing stock, it's a free hit for the Tories to really take the piss.

No, didn't get the wrong user. I surely can't be the only one to remember all the budget-day threads you started, waxing lyrical about George.
But agree with the rest of what you say.

What a team! We're doomed. ( I can't say ****ed as it's rude) .....

I tend to look at it like the Albion signing new players in pre season. Some good solid signings by May. I'm now buzzing for Brexit i mean new season. Excited.

That's it for this evening apparently...

Chancellor of the Exchequer – Philip Hammond
Foreign Secretary – Boris Johnson
Home Secretary – Amber Rudd
Defence Secretary – Michael Fallon
Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union – David Davis
Secretary of State for International Trade – Liam Fox

George Osborne sacked.

George Osborne sacked.
So who is deputy prime minister out of that lot? Does that title even exist anymore?

Michael Fallon and David Davis... Brexit? Trade?

Fallon was for Remain. I was hoping he would become Foreign Secretary. I can see Boris seriously winding people up. Also, it doesn't sound like Mrs May plans to go for the Single Market option. Davis as Secretary of State for leaving the European Union had been widely trailed, but Fox is a hard core Brexiteer. The City of London is not going to be happy if it loses passporting rights to the rest of the European Union, and I am worried about things like the Erasmus programme that lets UK students study in European countries (and presumably vice-versa). Non economic links barely got a mention during the campaign. I will still vote Conservative (I was going to defect if any of the other candidates had won), but I think it will be a rough ride for a few years.

So we don't know if Gove has been de-Justiced yet.

given what he was doing with the prisons seemed pretty decent, might be sensible to leave him there and finish the job.

Theresa May started off well really liked her first speech as PM could have been a speech from a labour or liberal politician

Chancellor of the Exchequer – Philip Hammond ok seems a sound appointment
Foreign Secretary – Boris Johnson WTF mad as a box of frogs which he is bound to say at some point to the French alwfull decision
Home Secretary – Amber Rudd got her mixed up with Justin's Greening who irritates me
Defence Secretary – Michael Fallon again seems an OK appointment
Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union – David Davis ok as long as he keeps Boris away
Secretary of State for International Trade – Liam Fox ok as long as no where need the department of health

George Osborne - Resigned or sacked who cares
