Not sure we have any experts on NSC, but worth a shot.
I have an alarm system on my house and the mains transformer in it is looking pretty sad (leaking and and a bit furry).
The alarm is still working and I put a voltmeter across the output of the transformer. As the alarm unit is essentially 12volt (support batteries etc) I was expecting a reading of 12v but in fact it read 15v.
If I search for a replacement mains transformer should I look for one of 12v or 15v output?
