Excellent.

Must look forward, but

I can't help thinking that when Gus sees that interview he is going to think 'Oh Shit!'

Very impressed with Oscar in his interview. Thought he came across really well.

Very excited about the new season now. Can't make any of the friendlies but can't wait for Leeds away now! Hopefully we will have signed Agustien and a couple of other new players by then.

Can't fault that interview at all.

Onwards and upwards, bring on El Submarino Amarillo

Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves.

Apart from appreciating what Gus did here in terms of dragging us from the depths of League One to the heights of the Championship it seems that the style of football he has introduced is what convinced Oscar to come here. Not sure Gus will appreciate it but it does seem that his footballing philosophy has led to us getting Oscar against the odds, if you read the argus interview where he says he did not come here for the money and was offered much more money to go elsewhere. No doubt the Amex and the setup of the club also played it's part but a big part of the reason is down to Gus style of football throughout the club.

Very true. And I'm really looking forward to Oscar adapting our style to a more attacking, faster one.

Well, on first impressions it looks like the club have indeed played a blinder here.

We get the Spanish/Barcelona flair that we now all crave, but also an intelligent and seemingly ego-free guy who's said more in one interview about the quality of the club he's joining, and the desire to please fans, than Gus managed in three years.

Of course we'll judge him by results, and talk is cheap. But this is the right way to start.

Agreed. We must be patient though.
