And a decent one too. Struggled a bit in the tests over here but did well in Oz: he'll be quality against Div 2 attacks

And he's available all season, not just 3.5 weeks in June.

Its been a pretty unedifying season for all things Sussex CCC but that is really good news, at last a step in the right direction.

His spin bowling may come in handy as well.

This isn't going to be confusing at all..... when I read for the 2020 season, I thought we had signed him for the T20 season, rather than for all formats for next season.

Ah that is brilliant news.

As did I at first.

Dizzy needs to justify his no doubt substantial wage . He hasn’t yet, that’s for sure .
Signing head is surely a good move due to his availability .
We need another quality batsman though

IF van Zyl is fit for the season that could make a big difference.

An opener would be nice, but there aren't any.

WRIGHT, SALT, HEAD - I'm looking forward to these three doing their little turn on the T20 catwalk. Too sexy by far.

And Laurie .....the most composed run accumulator at t20 I’ve seen domestically

If there was something riding on this game, I’d be throughly peeved right now about the ECB shoehorning the county season around the development of limited overs cricket.

Prepare to be even more peeved next season. All about the vanity project

Although I saw last week that Ashley Giles was talking about running CC matches when the Hundred was on. That would be good for those of us who like proper cricket

Personally I'm quite looking forward to the new scheduling. It will be great to have a County Championship fixture to go on Christmas day

And will benefit those counties with fewer players involved.

Ha I have been so busy working, I had no idea we had won.

Sussex win by 7 wickets

Was it not raining in Hove.

Well Summer is now gone, full on football now.

So, by virtue of the 12 point lead Essex had over Somerset going into the final game, rain is the winner ? Could there not have been an extra day option ? Waste of time that the Championship is decided like this after all the results when the weather was fine.
