There were two winning naps today:

R. Slicker - 13:55 Ascot - Puffin Billy @ 4/9

The first race tomorrow is the 12:10 at Haydock.

Officials at Haydock will stage a precautionary inspection a 7am ahead of their meeting on Saturday. Conditions at the Merseyside venue are already described as heavy and although there is more rain on the way, clerk of the course Kirkland Tellwright is hopeful the fixture will beat the elements.

Newcastle has already been abandoned.
