Interesting. I often wonder where my old seat, G Block, Row J, Seat 164 turned up! No way of knowing of course, the number stickers kept falling off the seats anyway.

The seats and the stand were in a sorry old state when we left Withdean. Hate to think what they look like now.

Pretty much the same, they don't get much use at Newhaven a few are covered in cobwebs.
I'm not sure if one end behind the goal is actually open, no seat number stickers on any seats.

I was about 11/12 got the bus from E/G to Three Bridges (Thank-you Dr Beeching) and watched Roger Prideaux defeat some other club on his own.

All FA Cup games have that rule, even when only a handful of fans turn up.

I may be wrong but I believe they've relaxed the rule slightly this season in that you can have a designated drinking area.

I went to the Newhaven v Eastbourne United match and the barman was telling people not to take drinks outside the clubhouse, I knew about the rule from watching Whitehawk, but some fans at the Newhaven game seemed a bit confused.
Don't know about a designated drinking area, suppose a club has to have room for this, good idea because even at Newhaven with a small crowd the clubhouse was rammed at half time.

I keep meaning to get to a Worthing game, though half the battle is convincing other people to go along as well...not the easiest sell sadly.

Great bar, take your beers to the stand/terrace, £5 to get in with your Albion ST, change ends at half time, comfy seats in the stand, noisy terrace behind the goal, cracking burgers and other grub, and you might even get to meet the likes of Tommy Elphick and other Albion past players, and even a chance to chat with the original Harty. If you have your kids with you, they can all go on the pitch at the end and have a kick about. How hard is that to sell?

Southwater FC v Worthing Borough - NB vested interest as Junior working his way back to match fitness and hopefully restoring himself to the County Circuit after a long-term injury.

I thought West Sussex Championship was regionalised now into North / South? Anyway perfect time to be playing in Southwater - pitch should be in good condition.

That's always been the case at Crowborough for FA Cup and FA Vase games....however this season for our FA cup game we had an area maybe 10ft either side of the bar where you could drink in view of the pitch. They are very much a stickler for the rules up there so I assumed the rules had been relaxed. As I said I may be wrong and might have just dropped them in it. That said I've been plenty of places over the years where clubs simply didn't care and just flaunted it anyway.

Daft really as for a lot of small clubs the bar is their biggest revenue generator. I appreciate the rules have to be the same for all clubs all the way through the competition but why the FA can't use the same rules they do for the league system (i.e. free to drink at all non regulated games) is beyond me.

Two late goals sealed the win for Borough and an assist for Junior and a first league game for 12 months safely navigated. One yellow per team, both dissent and their no. 9 blew his top and Southwater got a very dubious penalty late in the first half, Mum was pleased as well !
